i think what coney really meant with golf needs "official" cheating is that golf needs munchkin rules. as long as no one sees you cheating it's fair game and you cannot retroactively hold someone account to their cheating. it would be so amazing to see people in later recording go over the play not check for IF they cheated but because you already know they probably will cheat HOW they cheated followed by the golfers having to come up with even more elaborate cheating methods until it was so long ago that they used a certain cheat that people completely forget to look for it and they can use that again.

God, the local k-mart that was near me shut down a few years ago and they had a store-wide sale that was going on for like 25-50% off everything, if I remember correctly, for almost a year and a half before it finally shut its doors. It was kinda special to me since that was where I bought Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but after a while they just stopped selling video games for some reason. Should have included the Essendon Australian Football team. They took performance enhancing drugs for a whole year, got found out and all the players were banned for two years. The next season was basically all rookies. The captain also won the equivalent of the MVP but it got stripped off him and was given to a tied second place.

Cheating in games, honestly, is the sort of thing where; you should enjoy games however you want, so long as you aren't ruining the experience for other players. If your cheating doesn't hurt other players, then who cares - but if it does, well, that's a problem. And you can ruin the experience for other players without cheating... basically, it's a massive can of worms and a whole discussion that's probably not going to go well on any online discussion. lmao
