True! They get more excited over (ex: sports) vs believing the word of God and love teaching others with sincere joy. Some speak as if they are at a funeral. Nor do they need to get super hyper, lead by their feelings, just teach, let God’s word speak to the heart and let the Holy Spirit do his work. Then, there are some denominations who over exhort the Holy Spirit. The H.S renounces worship back to God.

WHAT ABOUT PREACHING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT ????

I've been in seminary for like four years now and I find myself not wanting to stand in front of people doing expository preaching. I'm called to put Christianity into action. Love does...I want to help people in need. The earliest Christians were counterculture types who helped widows, orphans...the helplessly diseased and infirmed. Christianity was (and is) most effective when it's counterculture. If I were to stand at a pulpit and be delivering a sermon, the thought going through my mind would be, "What am I doing here yakking when somewhere there is someone in desperate need?" I want to be a "field pastor," a pastor without a church who organizes people to help those in need and spread the news of Jesus Christ. I want to be in the trenches...not in front of benches.
