Thanks, there's something nice about being able to see it go from bare bones to much more complete. Having spent several videos really working hard on getting this section up to scratch it was a welcome reward to finally do a more realistic running session on it. Thanks for watching 😃

Beautiful, That Model Railway Guy. Locos seem to run really well, even the big 9F on those tight turns. Drystone wall looks just fine, too!
@ThatModelRailwayGuy
@ThatModelRailwayGuy Жыл бұрын
It does all run very nicely, luckily the curves look a lot worse on camera than they are in reality due to the lens compression. With the drystone walls, these are the sections that I was able to salvage from the dodgy packs I got but I am working on a solution for the rest of the layout 😅 Thanks for watching 👍

Light leakage on the Engine Shed roof/wall joins (see the start of the video). Would a strip of Black Polythene stuck to the join help cure this? I suggest Polythene because it should be flexible enough to easily go into corners & bends & a strip would not need as much retouching of your paintwork as a larger sheet would.
@ThatModelRailwayGuy
@ThatModelRailwayGuy Жыл бұрын
The shed isn't finished yet and the roof is just resting on top currently as I have more plans for this model, so no need to worry. Once the work is complete I'll fix the roof in position to stop the light bleed. It used to be a lot worse - before I added the interior the whole shed used to glow! 😅 Thanks for watching 👍

Will there be a certain former LBSC E2 and their twin coaches be visiting Pitley for any steam gala's? I Enjoyed watching your progress over the years on the modular railway now Pitley
@ThatModelRailwayGuy
@ThatModelRailwayGuy Жыл бұрын
Since Pitley is a heritage railway and no E2s were preserved I'd say that would be unlikely... however, I dare say that an industrial loco of some sort, rebuilt to resemble something like an E2, in an eye catching blue livery could definitely be a possibility for a special event in the future 😉 Thanks for watching 👍

Nice running session. Wish you had the Bachmann Class 47 running :D. Q&A question I guess. Are you going to be getting one of the Accurascale Class 37s in BR green to go on your heritage line?
@ThatModelRailwayGuy
@ThatModelRailwayGuy Жыл бұрын
The Bachmann 47 will definitely be making an appearance at some point! I haven't decided on the Accurascale 37 yet. Having reviewed one earlier this year it's a brilliant model but I'm really trying to be good at the moment and finish the layout rather than spending money on models I don't need.... plus I already have several other Accurascale models on pre-order already! 😁 Thanks for watching 👍

How do you decide what locos you’re going to run? Sometimes the only drawbacks to having a lot of locomotives is choosing which ones to run. And possibly being financially irresponsible.
@ThatModelRailwayGuy
@ThatModelRailwayGuy Жыл бұрын
For a more casual video like this it was really a case of what did I have to hand that I knew would run well on camera and fitted with the rolling stock I had out too. In the future though, I do plan to establish a fictional "home fleet" for Pitley as I build out the world for the layout. Thanks for watching 😃
