My ex husband was the master at homemade chicken pot pie, even down to the fresh homemade noodles. I made some from my own head, just tossing stuff together and my children both loved it better than their fathers.🤷 That is such a huge compliment because I suffered from depression for several years and didn't do much. Since understanding my life's purpose (and waking up recently), videos like yours, The Lumnah's, and a few others, I'm starting to have future goals that I never had before. Thank you for this recipe, I will try it. Thank you for all that you share with us. It's not just entertainment, it has so much more meaning to our lives. ❤️🙏

I was waiting for the mower deck to hit a post or the concrete and the whole ice roof slide off onto you or worst .......Gina. You need to take the mower deck off to protect it and give you more ground clearance....... I've wrecked 2 by hitting hidden objects when not mowing. Now I take them off for winter and greece and mantin them before sorage.

Lumnah Acres , Hope you had a Good Turkey Day !! It was Funny when you asked if any of us Saved all of our Wood Scraps.. lol When you live on a Homestead Out in No Where Land having about an hour Drive to get to Town You S A V E Everything lol and I mean Everything... You have to have a Mini Salvage Yard somewhere on your land for your Homestead... From a Car to a old Washing Machine.. Because sometimes you cant always have something Shipped to you... Bet you might even find yourself making things... If you don't already have you might find yourself sometime Eventually Getting Yourself a Nice Size Air Tank/ Compressor , Torch , MIG Welder , Etc. If you don't have sure you Will Sir one day as you & your Homestead Grows.. Just when you get a Air Tank/Compressor Make Sure you get One that is Standing Up Right, The Long Looking Tank, Not a Pancake looking Tank.. The Tank that looks like it got Sat On.. lol Problem with the Pancake Tank that are Just Not for a lot of work to be done at 1 Time, meaning having more or 1 Hose Hooked to Tank being a smaller Tank... Plus We See Them Brake A Lot to... Can keep going but will stop on that Tank.. DeWalt has 1 i think right now for about $ 429. in HD. Store. And the Husky for $299. was $ 349. Everyday Price & that's a 175 psi. Think that's the Best Deal they have on Mobile Tanks.. BUT Now Being around BLACK Fri. and the Hollydays you might Find them Cheaper !! LIKE how Mz. Gina has Her RECIPES in Description !! Love It You Go Girl !!!!! And as Always Thank You 3 for your Time !! We Will See You All on your Next Video !!

Hey Al . Do you still plan on cutting grass this year . That mower sticks way out on both sides . Very easy to damage the shute part of that mower in the hard snow . You have a warm shop now . Easy to store that mower safely up in the rafters of the work shop . Gina ... why do we need to enclose it , hint I'd rather be inside than working outside . LOL . Nice heavy duty roof rake you have there .

The outside of the barn looked nice and tidy when you were done.👍 Always a satisfying feeling, to get organized. Both my parents were raised during the depression and had many stories to tell, but only if you pressed them! My mom used the same piece of waxed paper to wrap her sandwich for a week and my dad recalls taking an old Radio Flyer by himself to go stand in line for the government commodities handout. He was six, he had two older sisters one younger sister and one younger brother, so the job fell to him. His dad had been quite well off owning a large farm. He lost the farm and his money during the crash and he and my grandmother and the five kids went to live in a relatives garage. My grandma's favorite saying was "Soap is cheap." You have a work ethic that reminds me of my parents. The wood scraps made me think of all this!! Took a little more work, then you had great kindling and didn't waste that perfectly good wood!! You remind me somewhat of my parents. You know my mom and dad each have four degrees, 2 bachelor's, 1 masters, and 1 doctorate. I must have been a disappointment with only one bachelor's and one masters!!😂😂😂lol😜Anyway, sorry for writing a book! 😂💓💛💚💙💜🌈

Good mornin Moose Crossing .... there's only so many hours of daylight, unfortunately your job gets way more difficult when you have to deal with snow burying the stuff you didn't get around to. Here's hoping you can get the walls done before you have to move snow again. Intermittent snow and rain are the worst for sure. Good thing you have the Kabota, but even that has it's limitations. I love your can-do attitude ..... it's contagious! Have a wonderful weekend AL, Gina & Olivia - take care.

Recently you gave the goats warm water to drink. Very nice of you. There is a small science problem with this. Hot (warm) water will freeze faster than cold water. There is a Junior High School experiment to prove this. Put two paper cups 1/2 full of water in the freezer one filled with cold water one filled with hot water. The hot water will freeze first. We enjoy watching. Usually get to binge watch on Saturday or Sunday. Grateful that I no longer have to deal with the snow and freezing temperatures. Thank you for that reminder.

Hey Al, I wonder why you still have the mower attached to the Kubota, did you forget and now it's too cold? Let it defrost inside the barn and do it there. And as you have power there you could even park it there under the outside roof and plug in a intelligent battery charger to keep the battery in shape. So it won't fail starting ever. And Gina could park her car inside the firewood shed finally. She'll love it, I bet. Germany temps are a bit above freezing, but gray and wet, so I'd prefer the snow you have

That ice fog and frost on the trees may be POGONIP. If you take your mower deck off, you can get better utilization of the bucket on the Kubota. The deck sticks out beyond the rear tires limiting how close you can use the bucket.A claw hammer cuts metal strapping nicely. You might want to think about taking off your mower deck. It's preventing you from using the loader to its best advantage and is subject to being damaged. Besides, you need to clean and paint the underside and sharpen/replace the blades before next spring anyway.

I do not miss winter like that ever! I have palm trees in southern England.moved here from NYC and NJ 20 years ago, never going back. I do like the rental money I get on those properties.

This is a great reminder of why I will never live in the snow. Actually saw snow today in Southern California. Never really happens here but stopped traffic forever.

As is a splash in potato salad (if you make it at this time of year.) Put that splash in right after you drain them while they are still warm. Needs less mayo too.

Building in the cold isn't so bad. After working awhile you naturally warm up and if it's not too cold, it's actually pleasant. You don't perspire like in the summer months and the air is really dry. And that hot cup of coffee really tastes good.

It is magical looking when the trees are covered in frost, ice or snow. The winter weather is beautiful, but like you I have a love/hate relationship with winter. lol But I think it is God's way of slowing us down some. I was wondering if you were going to close in that side of the barn. Glad to see that you are, I think it will make the barn even more beautiful with it closed in too. Supper looked so yummy Gina and such a great way to use up leave over mashed potatoes from the holiday.

Try using wood ash on the ice areas. I'm 75 and have been using them all my life. Eco friendly, cheap , good for the grass but use sand by the door if you value your wife and life. To dirty inside.

The last thing you think of in homesteading is snow removal but necessary for all other chores. Placement of building is what used to be the primary thought in building outbuilding and what is seen in some of the original farmsteads today. And what is seen in your modern concept! Placement of buildings makes everything else go right!.

Hi Al, Gina and Olivia. Love the videos. An idea for a project now the winter is here and you have the workshop done. How about a set of removable sidewalls and ends for your trailer. It would make it a lot more versatile and allow you to move loose materials, rocks and dirty waste hay rather than multiple trips with the Kubota.

Might it have been easier to use the snow plow instead of the kubota to clear the snow? I'm not familiar with all of the particulars so I hope that isn't a silly question. Dinner looks amazing, I am definitely going to try it out!

To save buying a battery for the Kubota, get a CTEK-3300. Park the Kubota near an outlet and plug it in and leave it. I have seen the CTEK save many batteries.

Yes get that mower deck off.Your carport roof is going to become a problem, warm shop roof to frozen cold roof = Ice Jam that will continue to build up until the rafters against the wall fail. Heat cables on that roof are needed or possibly under the steel roof heat cables with Styrofoam foil back sheets under cables.

Ok I am thinking you already know this and Im not trying to be critical but I have watched you a few times in the tractor and also plowing in your truck and it would gouge less dirt and gravel if you put the loader and the plow blade in its "float" position.. If by the slim chance you dont know where that is on either, usually on the plow blade on the truck when you lower the blade, if you just hold the down button on your hand controller the light should change colors and the blade will be in float. On the tractor just push the joystick handle forward and you should feel a detent and then its in float. Thanks and keep the great videos coming!!

Love the show as nd teachings you provide. I think you would be better off to remove your mower deck for the winter, it needs to be rebuilt you said before mowing season next year. That and it would not rust the deck and it would help the clearances under the tractor making it more efficient at snow removal.
