Extremely Rare Tour of Miami Beach's Water System (Dinghy Series)

Miami Beach has rarely used water channels that we explore today.My name is Alfred Montaner Host of the Chit Show in Miami.
Today we ride an 8 foot hypalon Achilles inflatable which can be purchased at Lauderdale inflatables in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Husband and I just finished watching this. Wowzers. So unique. I could not see the Snook or the other fish. We even backed it up. I was very surprised at the lack of trash or graffiti in that canal area. Kudos to whomever polices that area. We watched the Miami River version yesterday. Also so cool. Grew up in Miami Shores until '73. Played all over that bay. Sailed out of Miami Yacht Club, fished in Indian Creek. Never knew that canal was there. Crazy!! Thanks for the tour!!! Great memories!!

Hi Alfred, can I suggest that after you tighten the transom clamps, turn the handles so the holes face each other and run the thicket cable or zip tie you can through both holes and tighten. It will greatly reduce the risk of the clamps vibrating loose. Cheap insurance

Great video, Alfred! I'm really liking the Dinghy Series (even with the long video run times). It's the kind of stuff I do on my 14' fishing boat up here in Michigan. I hit a new lake and look for the smallest cut I can fit into to explore, and maybe get to other lakes. Also, thanks for telling everyone to be mindful of other craft in the area when you're on a small boat. That's the reason I can't ride a murder hornet. I'm always looking out for other craft and end up not having any fun. I enjoy my boat much more!

The narrow section is very similar to the inland waterway system all over the UK. Many of our bridges are as low and the system dates back to the Industrial Revolution in the 1760's. I live in Coventry, the furthest point from the sea, yet I can still reach it by canal.

Alfred, that dinghy dock on your left past Alton is for the Publix. I anchored near the Venetian Causway for weeks when I lived aboard and that is where all the liveaboards get groceries. You should dinghy tour back in the bay where Jimbo's used to be!

The Miami Beach mayor had it removed a few months back I think, he said he wants to cut off all the lifelines to all the people living on the water nearby. They also added 100+ signs saying any dinghies left will be towed away.

Hey Alfred, when are you going to change the registration on your inflatable from NJ to FL? LOL. I love your little trips on the inflatables because I can relate, having all sizes of boats but still enjoying the down to earth, simple boat to get into places and trouble. BTW, move your mic from the side of your neck to the front because you have great audio when you turn your head toward the motor, but then it drops off when you look straight ahead. Beats the hell out of a static camera on Haulover watching the same 'ole, same 'ole idiots thinking they are sailors or offshore powerboat racers. i love this type of video that you do. This video, the walks, the outboard retrieval series of vids, really entertaining, for example i never knew of the Holocaust memorial there. Alfy, you're edjewkatin me, now there's a role you never thought you'd have heh, teacher?. So much more to Miami than continually watching idiots at Blackpoint too. You seem to know your city well, use it. BTW; as a "morning person", (i'm up and watching at 04.00am UK time), can you do early mornings for all of the boat trips, i love the quiet stillness as if everyone else is still asleep and you are the only one there.....until the commute cacophony starts and reality kicks in?
