Thx for posting Allan! This past winter I ran a Royal Drywasher at the Duisenburg LDMA Camp with the manufacturer. We used a "rake riffle", designed by Royal, which is an option you can purchase and add if you own or buy one of Robert's drywashers. The "rake riffle" also uses raised studs to help break up the feed material as it slides downward, but they are spread out more in the riffle box instead of being loaded up at the top of the box, so I would say the "pulverizer" is the same idea just a different implementation. I ran about a yard of material from the property and was very happy with the performance of the drywasher and the fine gold recovery I got. I do feel the raised studs are an improvement for most material you would typically find out in the desert.. I like the screen and reduced air hole size in the lower part of this machine to try to catch more fine gold, I agree with Jeff Williams some head-to-head testing of the different washers is in order to see if that actually helps!

The reason the pulverizing part works so well, the screws that contact the ore have thousands of contact points which are extremely sharp vibrating hundreds of times per minute, doing a great job of pulverizing, and with Allen's screen and lower air volume idea ,the two combined , produces amazing results

Cool drywasher! I sometimes use what I call a "drywasher poncho" on windy days to keep the dust contained. Imagine a clear vinyl drape extending down from all the way around the hopper enclosing the whole drywasher down to the ground with tent stakes through grommets holding it in place from the wind. I sewed a tent zipper in the front for easy access to the tray. Buddy C.~

When I heard the name I was excited . . . "pulverizing"! But it doesn't pulverize, it separates. It's the best unit I've seen for what it does, and I'll probably get one, unless I can find one that actually pulverizes. Good job of reviewing this unit and thanks for bringing us along.
@allansgoldmining3 жыл бұрын
I beg to differ with you Richard. It pulverizes clay and dirt clots that could contain gold. Separation is considered screening. Pulverizing rocks requires large equipment and energy that is impractical for this type of unit.
@keithwilliams42473 жыл бұрын
@@allansgoldmining Actually by definition pulverizing is "crushing or grinding" this does neither of those, but it does reduce material to powder. So if that is what you are saying you are correct. That being said I want one. Great video.

The volume of air is what makes it work. We used a Walmart Hyper Tough 450 CFM for $59 at the time, I think they are a few models with variable speed, the Hyper Tough has 2 speeds. Just be sure exhaust tube is round so hose will fit it when cut off, I think Lowes or Home depot should have some models which should work well also. I'm sure there are several gas models would work very good.
