On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

this just has a very different feel and vibe from the 1 on 1 duals. the amount of lives lost, years of experience, the cost of training, and the ungodly amount of wasted millions of dollars... and what we saw here would of been a minor small engagement in ww2 scales.

What would be very interesting is to see this run multiple times with the same people ideally working together with some sort of plan. With a lot of these massive battles theres always the problem of just running into each other head on and shooting a bunch of missiles. It's just a non-tactical blood bath. Seeing teams work together however with planning, goals, etc would be more interesting to see how it develops overtime. What each side finds works best for their equipment etc.

Also noticed on Tac Debrief ONE situation of Red on Red... as well as the NATO forces seeming to be rather slow on picking up incoming warnings and starting to evade. Seems like they were almost surprised that the Red forces got off shots and then suddenly went "oh no" and basically everyone started to bank/dive at once when there was a clear missile lock already reached.

Ever since you introduced the concept of multithreading and it's capabilities in DCS, I've almost been YEARNING to see a type of engagement at this scale. Would love to see more and potentially even entire air-wing battles taking off from bases and engaging with potential SAM cover too, could open the door for potential SEAD and air to air combat simultaneously. Keep this up!

Really good video, a type of engagement you don’t see too often, and the TacView debrief is a really great perspective. Could do an entire video just going through that alone. One thing this does demonstrate is why you NEED to crank after firing missiles, even if you’re not getting targeted yet. Blue looked to have a significant advantage with early missile launches and locks, but seemed to fly straight in after them, so the red missiles hit them at nearly the same time, and with slightly greater efficacy. At the same time, you had a few red pilots crank earlier, and they tended to survive into the second round to clean up the surviving blues
@FatherExo
@FatherExo Жыл бұрын
Realistically, thanks to link 16 and MADL nowadays, there’s hardly any “hold lock until the last second then give it up” there would be a series of fighters in rows, and each row will take turns slinging AMRAAMs at long range and around 45-50k feet, with no reduction of altitude, and just keep cycling in a large oval as the other rows do the same, and thanks to data link like Link-16 and MADL the missiles will always have target acquisition from the host aircraft with no dropped lock
