There's an account from a Royal Australian Air Force pilot who was flying exchange with USAF in F-15C+ with JHMCS and Captive AIM-9X. He said after they got wrecked repeatedly in BVR, they proceeded into some arranged Fox 2 fighting WVR. No matter what he did, he couldn't get the Helmet or CATM-9X seeker to acquire the F-22 in visual range. People think stealth is only RF spectrum, but there is an insane amount of IR stealth in the F-22 design that gets overlooked. It was built to win in all realms of the fight with future proofing.

Military advice when fighting the F-22. When engaging the F-22, try to land your plane immediately, if that does not work Eject, Eject, Eject and if that fails, crash your plane into the ground. Everything else does not work, not even a diving reverse rudder.

Top 3 methods to beat an F-22 while in an F-16: 1. Eject and hope that your viper crashes into the F-22 2. Throw you canopy at him, and then whatever else that's not secured in the cockpit 3. Light your afterburners and just get tf out of there

I spoke with an F-22 pilot at a restaurant next to our airport. We had an airshow at the time. He said that what we see at airshows, even classified information that was stolen from Lockheed by China and Israel back in 2012 is only 30% of that actual capability of this craft. It's an absolute death machine and there likely won't be anything that can come close to touching it in 40 years and by then a new air superiority fighter will either be in testing or already in service. Really makes you think what these things can really do without any cameras present.

Love watching these fights. I will repeat my point about the damage modelling though. When these jets get hit it doesn't look anything like actual damage. In the second fight here, flames are coming out of thin air where the F16's wing used to be. I understand damage is infinitely chaotic and extremely difficult to reproduce, but I do think DCS could do a better job than what it does presently.

The F-16 is in early access, when it first came out it didnt have a damage model at all. That damage model it currently has is something they've slapped on for the time being it will get fixed down the road.

Used to drive past the Marietta, GA plant where they did final assembly on the Raptors... many mornings as I was driving by it would be at the perfect time to catch a new one roll off the line and do it’s first flight with a Viper chase plane. The Raptor would take off and go immediately vertical and climb out... the Viper couldnt even come close to matching it. Viper looked like a little toy compared to the Raptor. Amazing aircraft!!!

You need to redo your SU-57/F-22 fights now. The bird has vectored thrust modeled. It's moving supermaneuverable now in a way that it wasn't before. Like it seems enhanced. F-16 is his favorite plane, and extremely good. The F-22 shouldn't be *this* good, but it's a mod, so there's that.

@@Zargabaath it is definitely this good IRL. this mod is based on the declassified stats of the F-22 and some math using those numbers. The actual performance looks like this if not better. And don’t quote the time a Raffale beat one, the F22 pilot made mistakes and was probably flying a restricted airframe.

That was one great exhibition of what that f-22 can do. Hey, Growler I just downloaded the f-22. And my question to you is do you just drag and drop the Mod into DCS Beta or just DCS file or do it go somewhere else? Couldn't find any documentation on it. Thanks, Rhino

hey man, Mods need to be installed in C/Users/Username/Saved Games/DCS/Mods/Aircraft extract the F-22A folder to this location. If you don't have a mods or aircraft folder, create them.
