The fact that this machine is still better than Silver Rat says a lot about the people who were writing the pilot machine stats.

The reason it handles well despite low grip is because the grip rating for custom cockpits has nothing to do with the actual traction of the machine--which is determined by the body part mainly--and instead is turning radius. In this case, the Windy Shark has such abysmal turning radius that it can't break even the mediocre grip of the Blood Raven. ...yeah, this game's stats are a confusing mess without literally digging into the code, lol
