It happens very often on new tracks that the track limits are very permissive. I remember the first time we had Paul Ricard on F1 2018 and people on time trial were cutting the whole track and the laptimes weren't invalidated🤣.

That was a bug with the track itself with its design that manifested in multiple games. If you left the track at the first turn and just never rejoined, you could run the perimeter runoff at full throttle all the way around to the finish line that extended into the runoff. Since you never rejoined, a penalty was never applied and you got a "legal" 40-second lap 🤣

His line would constitute a deleted lap time in the real race. He clearly cut the corner leading onto the long straight (Las Vegas Blvd) and it seems like he might have cut the first part of the chicane at the end of the straight.

@@callmeshaggy5166 All parts of the car, including all 4 wheels, left the track. The fact that some of those parts rejoined the track (after leaving it) before other parts left makes no difference. At least a part of the car must remain in contact with the track (never leave during that one off-track instance). And that of course doesn't mean physical contact (because of possible curb jumps) but a plan view overlap. There was an area between the car and the track. That automatically means an illegal cut.

0:52 Off the track with all 4 wheels. The fact that the front right wheel may have been back on the track before the rear right left the track makes no difference. As soon as you leave the track with all four wheels (consecutively or at the same time) in a corner, the lap is invalid and deleted in real F1, despite the fact that the rules don't make it very clear. Otherwise, people would cut like retards in all sharp corners, making the whole track limit thing a joke (and causing accidents because they would lose control of the car sometimes due to the wild ride over the curbs). Personally, I would simply make a rule that both wheels on the side of the car closer to the centerline of the track must not leave the white line. That would make everything absolutely clear and fair.
