Before the crash I knew something was wrong. The F1 driver was spinning the wheen and changed into 2nd gear and kept the wheels spinning. That's not something F1 drivers do, they usually minimize the spin. Driver's fault - bad driver obviously and undoubtedly.

@Nuberuroxu Yeah I watched another video and saw it was some Asian rally driver (Muhammed Ben Sulayem if that's how you spell it). In that case that's why rally drivers shouldn't be allowed to drive F1 cars, the only success I've seen on that front was when McRae tested a Jordan.

Formula One cars do not have to go anywhere close to 150mph to achieve significant downforce levels. It even makes a difference at 60 and below.

Hmm no, it's called pushing the brake a bit more than he should have. Well, cold tires could help a bit on the crash.. but they definitely didn't even help by 10%.

@jimmybrite Yeah yeah, this mph and kmh shit can be confusing sometimes :) Anyway, at around 130km/h (slightly over 60mph) downforce on F1 is equal to it's weight. Now at 150mph (almost 300km/h), the downforce can easily equal to double, triple F1's weight. Overall, insane downforce :)

The track seems extremely dirty/dusty. F1 cars are terrible in such conditions the tyres don't grip and if you are persistent on the throttle, unless there is a divine intervention this is going to be the fate. Unlike Rally cars F1 cars are unforgiving once they lose their rear. Probably something Mohd. Bin Sulayem is not used to....

All things going as they should the F1 car stomps on any exotic production. Zero to 100 mph in around 3 seconds flat vs. around 6 seconds for the GT. That big difference makes this an unfair drag race. Even the Veyron would get spanked as well. Just coming correct is all.

This was a guy that paid for the drive I think, some really rich dude. He's being a bit of a knob though, you can’t just plant your foot, you have to be gentle with the throttle until you can sense it’s not wheel spinning and apply a little bit more. Even if an F1 driver floored the throttle and didn’t let it up, and changed through all the gears they would spin out like this. Even not going flat out initially in the F1 is still going to make it faster than the GT.
