Well done! My new favorite channel. I'm doing the same thing on a 67. Great work. I look forward to more videos. Thanks so much.

Why would you use a Crown Vic rear end and not an explorer rear? I hope you either modified the perches for the skinny axle tubes. Are you going to narrow it? The track width has to be way too wide because the explorer unit is perfect for my 69 f100

What year car is this axle from? Doing this swap on my 1970 f100
@Petrol3602 жыл бұрын
I used an axle from a 03 or newer crown vic to match the bolt pattern on the front and gain disc brakes and a LSD

@@Petrol360 I bought an 03 or newer and it ended being too wide for my 1970 f100. Went with a 1999 crown vic police car axle. Slightly narrower, posi, and disc brakes as well!

Yes the downside to the crown vic 8.8 is the width. On a future video you will see my struggle with it!

@@scottheinonen7005 Did the rear end from the 1999 fix good ? I have a 1972 F 100 with a crown vic front end and I want to put a 8.8 in it too .

@@Laurennussen9162 Yep, perfect width. I put newer mustang gt wheels and they fit really good in the wheel wells all the way around
