F23 block Balance shafts delete. P.O.V.

I really do believe that deleting the BS system will do some damage on the bearings and oil pump. I'm giving it another try and this time l'll use a damper. Thanks for your feedback bruh!

Would a forged bottom end throw off the effectiveness of the balance shaft? I wonder this because they are a different weight than stock piston and rods. What do you think? Is it minimal difference?

It probably not, l think may be Honda emgineer designed it coz of the crank throw, but it's just my guess.

Info l got is from the web and read that some people ran their motor w/o the belt. There's multiple reason why we delete the b/s system, l'll just name few things. Ease of T belt servicing specially if motor is on a Civic, there is absolutely not enough space. Oil pressure, guys that delete it want to use all the oil pressure they can get on some other vital parts on higher rpm. It all depends on how you use your car, it can only 2 things, its either you wont feel any difference or you wont like it. I've experienced it and maybe on my next g23 build. I'll save up for damper and see if l'll like it and if l feel any better about the harmonic vibes. I guess if you have all your components balance, l think you'll be ok.

I took the belt off and drove it temporarily for a few days. Noticed a huge vibration in the dashboard and steering wheel at certain rpms i didnt like it. Put the belt back on much smoother

I did some researched about b/s before and its all about harmonic vibes cancellations and because of that vibes its creating it also for drivers comfort.

Can h22a used over size k20a piston?

If your H22a block have iron sleeve, yes. Your piston choice are limitless. What ever you do, do not use the H22 NPR pistons you see on ebay. Lots of people are having a abnormal skirt wear on those. Only use Honda OE piston. Even Mahle are problem too, unless you have the piston to wall clearance figure out, but l would not use it either if you ask me.

@@Hovieg it' mostly being deleted if your'e building a performance engine like g23 or hi hp H22. Since you have a f22b1 and you want to boost it or something, guys wants ro delete it so they can use oil pressure on some other vital parts. This also make it a lot easier to work on timing belt when its deleted. Its really up to you if you want to delete it.

But engine runs best when b/s in on there. In my opinion. Thats why l kept it.

I'm thinking of another engine project build and thinking of deleting the b/s on it. Maybe l can make a extra plugs for it. It wont be overnight but we'll see how it goes. Do you live in LA area?

@@sagittnet2158ah ok.. I stay in central Cali. I have a f23a block honed and decked. I also have my pistons and bearing setup already just waiting to put together but, don’t have the plugs for it yet. I currently have a h22a h2b setup on my eg and made 240hp on 91 . But I’m aiming for 290hp n/a but still debating if I should go with the f23 block to make that happen with the higher compression.
