After my mom died I dreamed the best dream ever. She was sitting on a picnic blanket in a beautiful area. A man walked towards her with his back to me, but I could tell by his gate it was my daddy, who passed in 98. When she saw him she beamed a smile so big. He reached down and grabbed her hand to pull her up. As he lifted her the age fell off her til she was about 26 to 30ish. They walked off laughing arm in arm. Made me feel so much better. She could not speak while she was sick. 4 brain tumors. It was amazing to hear her laughing again

We see an oncologist at Duke Wednesday morning to get started with radiation. He has a squamous cell carcinoma on his scalp and the dermatologist surgeon he saw today said he wouldn’t survive the extensive surgery he would need to do - baseball size. I usually watch these in the afternoon after work. Had a little bit of a stressful day, not too bad, but it sure was nice to come home and listen to the Monday video. I really look forward to them. After last night's video I remembered something my mom used to tell about me when I was little. I'd be following her around as she did her housework chattering away. Mom would usually just say uh huh. I guess I got tired of that and one day said "mama, say words to me not just uh huh" Just shows how little ones may more attention than we think they do. 😊

It's a little cooler here in Georgia, but not cool enough to suit me. I love when the temps start to fall. When I would be stressing over something, my daddy would put his arm around me and say, "Bonnie Blue, ten years from now it won't even matter." How I wish I could hear his voice again. His wisdom will always live in my heart and I've tried to pass his wisdom to my children and grandchildren. Once when the dr thought I might have breast cancer and the report came back BENIGN, my daddy said, "Thank you, Jesus, I feel like an anvil just fell out of my back pocket.

Guess the "shorts weather" is coming to an end and I'll soon be wearing long pants every day again! I've heard baseball announcers say that "this is the man we've been looking for all day" when the potential final batter is at the plate with two outs in the ninth inning.

😊 I do the same. I take the peel off if putting up but eat the peel if eating fresh

Hey Tipper, was thinking about you and Matt and how much you love your Outshine freezer pops, I do too. Not sure if you can find Good Pop Watermelon Agave ice pops where you are but it is just like watermelon, my favorite fruit. I know it is one of your favorites and the only place I can find these is either Publix or Lowes Foods here at Ocean Isle Beach. It does say Agave as an ingredient but I don't know what that taste like but they are heavenly watermelon. I love these all year round and by far my favorite because I love watermelon so much.

It’s a little late input. But I was telling my granddaughter how we were always taught as a kid that if you couldn’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. How is it that as adults we feel this rule no longer applies? I just shake my head in disbelief at some of the things I hear people say.

This was a sunshiny morning in the middle 50s. I am so glad we can help stop the hard work and video thief. Here we can communicate the information and need to help.

Funny story about distraction of chime going off.. Our church had a fellowship hall and it was entered at the front of the sanctuary . People needing to use the restroom during worship service were distraction during worship service. One of our congregants made a addament statement at our business meeting. He stated “Please use the restroom before service after Sunday school take your children to the restroom. I find it very distracting. The very next Sunday the nice gentleman that was only telling his opinion was a physician. His phone rang right in the middle of the pastors message the whole congregation that was at the business meeting all last unfortunately so did Bill the one who found children and adults distracting he was a distractor. . He never complained again We moved away but sure miss the sense of family we had at that church .
