Similar to Lucas's normal person costume, I gotta say the one I wore that my friends at the time thought was the scariest one was the time I dressed up as myself. I put in contact lenses and got a pair of cheap non prescription glasses that looked like mine, put in fake teeth that didn't have anything really wrong with them but were obviously plastic, got a cheap wig in my hair color that I styled took pretty much like my real hair, used my very bad sewing skills to craft a poorly made replica of the sort of clothes I usually wear and painted all my exposed skin in an acrylic paint that I matched to my natural skin tone. When I got there and name tags were handed out, I left the E out when I wrote my name on it. After an hour or so of drinking and talking the paint started flaking off around my mouth, eyes and knuckles from the skin moving.

My grandparents' house in a tiny french village is right in front of the church. Said church was built upon the old village cemetary (from about mid-Middle-Ages). When they moved the cemetary in the 1800s they only moved the remains of those that were remembered. Which is why i grew up playing around the church and regularly finding human bones. So i told this to my therapist the other day and made me realise that that's not exactly normal to play around human remains.

If anyone ever tells you that you are bad at your job, remember someone gave a film where a character rips of his own face, a PG rating
@MosoKaiser
@MosoKaiser 2 жыл бұрын
Poltergeist was actually initially rated R by MPAA, but was changed to PG after appeals from Steven Spielberg and Tobe Hooper. And that was 1982, so no PG-13 yet. It took until 1984 when complaints over PG rated Gremlins and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom prompted the creation of the intermediary PG-13 rating.

@@thegentlemanwiththemustach1087 'Raiders' indeed pushed the limits, but it wasn't quite enough to promp for the creation of PG-13 yet. It got first slapped with an R, but after toning down the head explosion scene with some added flames to obscure things a bit, it passed as PG.

Just for Nisha's benefit. I used to date an Archeologist. One of the more common jobs that her archeology company had to do, was go exhume graveyards and document it all so that new houses could be built. In particular, I remember her coming to mine from working in Elephant And Castle in London and she had been digging up skeletons from there so they could build luxury apartments. So you may never know whether your house was built upon a graveyard unless you did some digging as it were in to the records of the area. Also interesting little factoid I learnt - you can't dig anywhere in the City of London until your dig site has been vetted by an archeologist

Did you know that for several years in the UK, due to a massive decline in new construction, Time Team was the largest single contributor to archaeology there. Also the mandate requiring archaeological surveys goes far beyond the square mile of the City of London. edit: largest contributor in terms of money spent

0:50 I honestly _want_ a cheap but haunted large house. It's a steal all around; either I get a fun and unique roommate, or a small exorcism fee and a house for cheap. "muhahah, oh but you can't call the exorcist! I've blocked all radio signals and locked the doors!" Bitch, the window replacement will be cheaper than the rent I'd pay for this house at full price. also, if you're trying to kill me, I'll exorcise you myself, and if that doesn't work, you honestly think A DOOR will stop me when I'm fighting for my life? My point is, a haunted but cheap house, in this housing market, is a steal all around; worst case scenario a few scratches and a window replacement.

A house my family lived in while I was in high school def had/still has something going on with it. The house originally belonged to the first pastor of the church next to it, and he was into some…let’s just say “not very Christian things” according to a diary we found in my bedroom wall from one of his kids during renovation. While my dad was working down in the basement he had to open up a wall panel to search for a leaking pipe and found the fully intact skeleton of a goat and two unidentifiable leg bones and several candles…big ol nope right there. After Dad found all that, weird stuff started happening around the house INCLUDING an incident where my dad, my sister, and I from separate areas in the house all witnessed what looked like a little boy wander in from the back porch, go up the stairs, and go straight towards where the upstairs bathroom was. If you ever find skeletons in yer basement…leave em be.

The guy put it in his will and everything and his family agreed to it...but then they hit legal red-tape and were told, "yeah, you're not allowed to do that, you need your bones to either be buried, donated to research or cremated with you. You can't just ask for your skull to be removed." So, they wond up not using his skull for Hamlet
