Only discovered Polyphi 1.5 weeks ago and their 2nd album is my fave. Was pumped to hear that you like it too.

They are legit musicians. And I am hard up for more of their music! Lol

I really loved the trumpet at the end. Kind of remind you that this is basically a blue song, but yeah you’re right the call and response element is really nice because it’s so bluesy and jazzy.

Yup. Seeing stuff like this always makes me question if I should even continue practicing the guitar 😂 I guess I'll stick to drums lol

Have you ever heard of tender surrender and for the love of god by steve vai? I assume you know him but i ask for these two songs
@ThunderRooster Жыл бұрын
@@Lacrevettequitwerk oh yeah! I love Vai! I owe what little lead skills on the guitar to him! Haha

I can't stop my tears when the last section with Steve starts...don't know why

Happy tears yes?

Genuinely I have cried so many times listening to this. It really takes you on such an emotional journey with just instrumentals. Close your eyes and let the music take to you to a place. It's incredible.

Fun fact. This is the epitome of 'math rock.' Each segment/subsegment is either 30 or 15 seconds long, even the trumpet outro, which is 15 seconds...
@ThunderRooster Жыл бұрын
Well all click track recorded songs are in some way math rock. 4 bars could equal 16 seconds in 4/4 time at 60 bpm 🙃 so is their more intention in this song?
@RaymondBCrisp Жыл бұрын
@@ThunderRooster I'm sure it was their intention. If it wasn't, boy what a coincidence!

I don't know. Obviously more technically accomplished than anything The Ramones, for example, ever put out. I'd still rather listen to The Ramones though.

You’re not the only one to have that opinion. I personally love these instrumentally creative songs. But yeah I’m not going to jam out to it at a party necessarily.
