Oh my gosh, look how much he's grown!!! 🥰😍 Oh bless you. Sometimes no matter what you do/try it's just always one step forward and 10 steps back with toddlers. I've got a 2 (nearly 3!) and 4 year old now. I always feel like when I go to effort for my children it just backfires, sometimes the simplest days out are the best. Aw how lovely of Hayden to come out too. I said to my husband the other day it's such a strange feeling because I'm surrounded constantly by them and needed 24/7, and yet sometimes on days out with them I can feel SO lonely with no other real adult contact/conversation. Mum life is hard but I'm finding it gets easier as they get older. There are always challenges but wait until Rhys starts talking to you, on your lowest days you'll find he'll say something sweet to make you smile. ❤️Love your updates! Xx

I love how you're rocking/swaying at 2:50 even though you're not holding Rhys... I still find myself doing that now and my youngest is nearly 3 lol! X

Also, we have an app in the UK called Playground Buddy... It's amazing! Wherever you are in the UK it will show you playgrounds nearby with a summary and photos of what it's like. It's great! I wonder if there's something like that in NZ too?
@TravellingK2 жыл бұрын
And I’ve found Reese sometimes loves the simple days. He finds his own fun. Yes, hard to stop swaying!! What a fantastic app! I wonder if there’s a NZ version 🤔

He's a real boy!! Willowhaven campground right on the lake is meant to be nice. Never been there. Breast milk will cure your conjunctivitis. We used to squeeze it into bubs eyes but a bit hard to squeeze it into your own lol cut up onion and wrap in a tea towel and hold it on his ear overnight. In the morning earache will be gone. I tried it and it works. I remember every night going to be saying "well we both survived ", and in the morning I would again say "well we both survived ". Meaning me and child survived each others company when things weren't going right lol gota have a good sense of humour as a parent.

wow all the tree snow! I think its cotton/fluff off willow or poplar trees. we have a park in Upper Hutt (Trentham Memorial Park) that had a whole pile of that stuff on the ground and blowing EVERYWHERE a little bit before Xmas. I think that's their season of shedding. Hope no allergies for Reese - love watching him grow & explore. Good to see u back! & HNY!

Hi. The window inserts shrink but usually have a huge overlap, so you should be able to remove the insert, reposition it and replace using the original strip. Hope things are better on your next holiday.

Nice update, I hope your eye continues to clear up. And a ruptured ear drum does sound a bit painful for your little man. Take care and the repairs look good on the caravan by the way. And a great update. Thanks for sharing... Vic

I can say that travel with our wee daughter has definitely changed how we travel and camp. There's so much more to consider, and plan around her needs, sleep etc. We make an effort to keep doing at least one trip away in the caravan per month, and occasionally I take her away for a night, just the two of us which is challenging but awesome. It's definitely more about the life adventure for her than the relaxation for us, but it does get easier I think

Wow! So impressed you make a trip once a month! A great outlook. I’m starting to ease into it again.

This was a delightful story Karen. Been there done that when the kids were young, LoL. They are now in their 50s except for John my eldest, who is no longer with us, sadly. But, everything you are currently experiencing with Reese was exactly the same as Sylvia and i had so many years ago when i was with the MoT. Hang in there Karen, it gets better, LoL. Bob LH.

We found that up until the age of four every trip was postponed or delayed or affected by illness and did end up staying home more. It does get easier. My daughter now 6! However post covid all a bit more cautious.

Ahh yes, so many surprise illnesses. I just picked up a stomach bug from daycare, then passed it on to Hayden who’s gone to setup an event!

As a child, young adult and young married person I enjoyed all kinds of camping. Once our first daughter could crawl, it became no longer fun in any respect. The responsibility for small ones colored the whole endeavor and turned it into periods of time with no rest and much more work. I decided to stop thinking of these trips as vacations at all, they were important experiences for the children. Just my opinion, but I don't believe I'm alone.
@janettebarr65382 жыл бұрын
Maybe by the time he is 18 things will ease up children need full time attention and you never stop worrying my son is 54 and I still worry about him but that’s part of being a mother

Blimey. Wait til you get a brother. We had a loyalty card for the doctors surgery when they got into wars and fights. Sickness and kids go hand in hand. All the bugs they have to get used to. Shits and aches. Teething. Broken bones cracked heads from bikes, rugby etc... As to nzmca. You might be better off for reasons of age group checking out allpoints camping. They're a younger age set. Nzmca is like like waiting room. Allpoints have an extensive camping directory too. Growing all the time. Same and better benfits for savings and ferry etc.
