Betty&Phil Productions I think it's because Poof"s birth made headlines (in fact, the episode that Foop debuted in mentioned that Poof"s a celebrity in Fairy World), which probably led to a *lot* more fairy baby births

I wanna see a spin off of Vicky and get to know why is she evil? What was HER childhood like? And if the creators of FOP was running out of ideas, why not make Timmy grow out of being ten and mabey make him 13 and in a different scenario? (I stopped watching when Poof arrived, not because i didn't like him but I grew out of Nick and Disney, so forgive me if its already been done.)

Eh, I find Foop semi-entertaining, but I hate how he replaced Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda. Maybe I just didn't see an episode or something, but I'm pretty sure the last episode they were in was the one where Foop was born, which I find incredibly sad since I really liked the dynamic of them compared to their fairy counterparts.

I didn't mind Poof at first, but then I've seen that the episodes stopped being about Timmy and more about Poof and I didn't like that at all. I remember seeing an episode when Cosmo and Wanda completely neglecting him and Timmy called them out on it and they said that they can't be with him a lot cuz they have a child now blah blah blah. Honestly they should've blew up from that Magical Build-Up thing because they didn't grant him any wishes. If they were going to stop acting like his Fairy Godparents because of Poof, then I don't think he should've been added.

At the risk of my well being, I want to defend this episode a bit, as well as Poof. I will admit, in most episodes, poof doesn't really have a character. He basically serves as a plot device whenever he appears. However, in this episode, we see a little more of Poof's character. I'm not talking about having a crush on the new student. The episode starts with Cosmo and Wanda getting too excited over Poof auditioning for a play. In fact, all of the adults, including the teacher, value the stupid excuse for a play a little too much. Poof is shown to resent this. It shows he has preferences toward certain materials. Also, for a character with practically no dialogue, we can understand a lot of what he's thinking when he's allowed to have thoughts. We see Poof figuring out that Foop changed the play so that it involves the hero of the play getting in harms way while Foop's character makes a grand entrance at the end. In response, he acts sick so that he can switch roles with him. Its a moment that at least shows that he has a functioning sense of what's wrong and how to solve it. This is in contrast to him being nothing more than a floating object of destruction.

Fun fact, season 0 Cosmo wasn't all that stupid, just a wand that needed to be fixed. His parents weren't absolute idiots either, just a bit a bit oblivious.

And Love Triangle was the first episode Goldie appeared in & her having butterfly wings or being a different creature was never explained.I think she is a fairy just with a different (rare) wing type b/c she wears a godparent crown as all fairies do.

There is one Season 7 Fop epi starring Poof that's actually good, Pieguy. It's called "Bad Heir Day" where Crocker finds Poof and kinda adopts him. It sounds bad but it's really one of the best episodes they've had in months. It's funny, it's adorable, and it shows that Crocker has the potential to be more than an antagonist. Please check it out, I'm sure you won't regret it.

I never knew that the crash nebula episode was part of fairly odd parents. I completely agree with what you say.Somehow, Cartoon Network is the only network that is rebuilding itself as a kid's network; good for them! I just hope the others can do the same... My favorite special had to be the Channel Surfing one where Timmy enters his TV and Vicky somehow gets involved. It had everything that a fairly odd parents movie needs. Comparing what the show is now to that special really shows its age.

Turns out Nickelodeon had never learned their lesson when they went behind Steven Hillenburgs' back and made a SpongeBob spinoffs and I didn't even have to watch them to know that the spinoffs were bad ideas, I just watch KZbinrs talking about them on their videos.

They also made Timmy's parents worse, BEFORE they were just never home for him.. in the 90's they were rich and you could only see their feet (like the Remmy Bucks-a-plenty's) but now they just hate him on purpose, they go on vacation without him and never want to believe vicky is danergous. this didnt ruin the show for me because they were only on screen for a few minutes but his parents started to grow 1Dimentional and are just always happy and not ever "concerned" about their son now.

I love it when Foop shouts "DEATH!" In fact i loved the Spellementary episode. I was laughing during Foop's speech. I loved when he accidently got a split personality from being in solitary so long.But apparently he got therapy or something cause in Timmy's Secret Wish he was cured of it Ha! If in the fairly oddparents special fairly oddbaby cosmo says he was the last.baby born in fairy world.and that there was now a rule that no babies could be born (actually jorgen never put it in, it was in a sticky note but still there were no babies born) then how are there kids in spellementary school with poof when cosmo is clearly an adult? And why in that episode cosmo is shown as a baby in pretty recent times when in that episode about the fairy convention they're in medival times when jorgen spins the wheel and cosmo is again clearly an adult? This either makes the fairy convention episode and all the spellementary school episodes non canon or it would make fairly oddbaby non canon, which in turn would make every episode after fairly oddbaby non canon as well, since poof wouldn't exist. Now with the talking episode if he keeps talking every episode in which he talks would be non canon. ALSO CROCKER IS IN THAT ONE AND SEES POOF SO WHY DOESN'T HE COSMO AND WANDA DISAPPEAR FOREVER?!?!?!?!? I'm thinking way to hard about this.

I'd like to see you talk about the Victorious "remake" of The Breakfast Club, The Breakfast Bunch. That episode was TERRIBLE, as because they ran the show on Nick, they couldn't do the movie complete justice. No pun intended. Butch Hartman (the creator of Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom) is one of the most unlikable people that I have ever seen. I hate him. I have hated him since August 24, 2007. If you don't know why, or are just too lazy to look it up, that was the date Phantom Planet aired. It was the final episode of Danny Phantom, and one of the worst decisions in modern media. Phantom Planet was a fantastic episode, but I, like so many others, was not ready for it. Mr. Hartman, in all of his sad, detestable genius had made the oh-so-brilliant decision that Fairly Odd Parents was worthy of continuing on, whilst Danny Phantom would only get 3 seasons. I hate you Mr. Hartman, I truly truly do. You had Danny Phantom, a perfectly-written show, that never had any bad episodes, could deal with mature subject matter (such as teenage hormones and even death), and you decided to throw it away for a ten-year old kid with fairies. Butch, I am extremely disappointed in you.

That's actually not Butch's fault. It was Nick who decided it, so you shouldn't blame Butch for it. Well, I guess you could kind of blame him for letting Fairly Odd Parents continue and making bad episodes, but not for cancelling Danny Phantom. Ps I also love Danny Phantom but I don't like Phantom Planet. It has a boring plot that has nothing to do with ghost fighting. Instead a boring meteor is heading for the earth. Danny gives up his powers while he should really know Vlad was up to something. Vlad revealing his powers to the whole world comes kind of out of nowhere to me. There was no proper buildup to Danny and Sam's relationship. I mean I get you'd want to save it for the final episode, but at least spend some time to building it up. It just felt like it was just there because the fans wanted it to be there. In fact I'm pretty sure it was there because of that. Then at the end Tucker becomes the mayor because I have no idea why. Did anyone want Tucker to become the mayor? Does it make sense for Tucker to become the mayor? There were probably more things wrong with this episode that I don't remember. I also didn't like The Fright Before Christmas (well, actually I did enjoy it, I just thought it was critically bad) and the majority of season 3 was pretty dull.

At first, I thought the movie would stink, coming from the commercials (I know, don't judge a book by its cover), and when I fully watched, I was surprised, the story was great, it teaches a lesson about growing up, and I like some of the characters from the T.V. series were used used as live action actors. It was an amazing movie, especially for a television movie! :D

As a counter argument to what you say, Mario, Sonic, Legend of Zelda had games that also had voices because of the limitations, yet their TV shows had each of them talking. The reason Kirby doesn't talk in that show is because he is a silent character, not because of limitations.

Honestly I liked Poof because I saw potential...it sorta payed off, there were episodes with him I enjoyed, but overall he's kinda meh. Even when he FINALLY talks, it doesn't give me joy, it makes me roll my eyes because it's clearly Tara Strong, with a not so hidden tone change, voicing him. Seriously, if I wasn't looking at the screen, I'd mistake it for Timmy with a cold or something. When Anti Poof came, I was again thrilled. He talked, he and Anti Cosmo clearly had issues that could've been expanded and worked through (I've written down several fics about their relationship, yet to post), and hey, maybe this will give writers an excuse to show the Anti's home life! Maybe we could have family battles between the counterparts, or Poof and Anti Poof (I'm not calling him Foop) could bond over the fact their parents are overbearing! Loads of potential funny and heartwarming material! Heck, you could've had AC in this episode, AP was at home, and there was the play! Are you seriously telling me he didn't show up for his son's first play?! At the very least Anti Wanda would! But no...Poof does so little that he's actually missing in some episodes (I've imagined he's at school in order to overlook it), and Anti Poof is apparently the only Anti Fairy we're ever gonna see from now on (except for that stupid council that shouldn't exist in the first place!). Oh Fairly Odd Parents, either fix yourself or call it quits...

Probably the Flanderization that just rubbed me the wrong way was Timmy's parents going from the not too bright but still loving parents that he had, to the downright neglectful, uncaring, assholes we've come to be accustomed too today. At first, I was super excited for Poof, because it seemed like he would make the show better(since by then, it was starting to lose it's luster). I really hate what they did to Cosmo, the older episodes before the movie he was charming and funny with the deeper voice and his jokes were relevant, Even his season 1 potrayal stayed in character after his voice changed but later on, he just became the patrick of the show... where everything he says is stupid and not even clever. PIEGUYRULZ, I don't believe Cosmo & Wanda had sex. I actually believe that after Timmy made the wish that somehow the egg was fertilized in Cosmo, & by the next day (since fairies have fast - like 3 month long pregnancies) then his stomach expand. That's how I made sense of it, since the show is TV-Y7 (I think is the correct TV rating, maybe it's just TV-Y, I'm not sure).

@tgirltstkag100 VERY TRUE. I personally thought the ending was VERY cheap, clichéd, and a poorly done "happily ever after" sort of ending. But, considering the plot, I think it would have been better if either the movie wasn't made at all, or if it was literally an adaption of the cartoon series with an ACTUAL TEN YEAR OLD. The fact that Drake Bell was playing a 23 year old that's been acting like a kid for 13 years, mooching off his parents, and having to repeat the 5th grade (for 13 years)...
