Recently heard the question " where did Paul get his info about Jesus?" Sadly the answer was not so biblical by Tom. GAL 1:11,12 says " the gospel which was preached of me not after any man. For neither rec'd it of man, neither taught but by THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST." Tom answers maybe Luke and implies Peter the 15 days v 18. [3 yrs after Damascus] No Paul's message was hidden since the world began Rom 16:25 and BY REVELATION from JESUS CHRIST Himself. Wright has missed a very important aspect of Paul's ministry from Christ while spot on with some other insights. P.S. where is the Indwelling Spirit with a capital S in Tom's book " Biography of Paul" why so much emphasis on man's ability TO DO...rather than as the Bible says, " God working in us?"

Epicureanism does not believe in a afterlife ,but the pleasure of life but in moderation

@14:00 or thereabouts: NT touches on Epicureanism yet ironically, elsewhere he 'platonizes' Christian cosmology and insists that Neo-Darwinian evolution is a useful theory of origins...while at the same time, it does to our conception of Yahweh the very thing for which he (rightly) criticizes Epicureanism. It makes God distant, when the creation over 6 days makes God proximate, relationally available, present and active in the continuity of created history! Makes one go 'hmmm'. On what is the meaning of life (to which one philosopher-wit replied: "life is not a proposition, therefore 'meaning' is the wrong property for it): as the Westminster Catechism has it: to know God and enjoy him forever!

NT is a philosopher ,which is what evangelicals like ,they don't want to do anything
