It's an attack on all women in general... Everything from our identity, sexuality, experiences, terminology, and capabilities that are distinctly unique to us, to our protected rights, sports, opportunities, and private spaces. Womanhood and everything that defines being female and the female experience is being systematically erased and replaced. This is literally blatant misogyny. I was never one to believe in the whole patriarchy thing but having biological men coming into our spaces, telling us what to do, and asserting themselves as real women stating that there's no difference between us and them is a big no for me. You're not going to tell me that I'm the same as a trans woman and that I have to accept them into all of our spaces and taking away opportunities from actual women who worked their butts off to get to where they are. And I'm certain not going to accept that something is wrong with me for not accepting it and be called every type of "phobe" and "ist" buzzword for speaking my mind and sticking up for women and young girls. Riley Gaines said it best, "If her not accepting that trans women are women makes her transphobic, then that makes them a misogynist".

Not necessarily. It happens enough to be considered, but it doesn't apply to the whole group. A lot of lesbian trans women date women and trans women and vice versa for trans men. It's a good question. Confusing subject. Buck stating not to be a lesbian is also confusing to me. Buck is open about being a woman, biologically, and isn't the definition of a lesbian a woman who is sexually attracted to other women? Why would presenting as a man (which IMO Buck has all the right in the world to do, I'm not criticising that) change the definition of lesbian? Man this stuff is confusing...
@d0minicaj1014 ай бұрын
@wjdeoliveira3809 Buck is a trans man. For those who date trans people, especially ones who pass, it's it's own thing. It's not like being with a woman, but it's also not like being with a biological male. Our bodies are unique to us. People used to use the term trans attracted to describe people's orientations if they like trans people, but it was mostly used by men who like trans women. Some people don't quite fit into any commonly used labels, so they just say that it's it's own thing.

Here's a fun story for you that really fucked me up. I'm going to self disclose as a recovered alcoholic because I have to for the purposes of the story. I'm also a bisexual, biological woman. I've been sober for 4 years. When I'd been sober for 2, I started dating a woman who was friends with my sponsor, who had 17 years sober. We fell in love (being women lol) but I noticed some controlling behaviors so I put off moving in with them. Around the 6 month mark they told me they were "trans non-binary" and that I should start using "they/them" pronouns when referring to them. This came out of literally nowhere. Keep in mind, please, that I'm in my 50's, they're in their 30s. I said okay. However, things began taking a gradual and then rapid shift to the masculine. Two months later I was informed that they'd been on testosterone for several weeks and we're scheduled for a mastectomy THE NEXT DAY. Without discussing it with me. I felt like someone had slapped me in the face. While I was in love with this person and not their breasts or their vagina, the fact that they were having all of this done behind my back while we were in a serious relationship was just too much. I ended it. And I've never heard the end of it. I am endlessly harassed by them and their "stunning and brave" friends both in public and on my socials, labeled a traitor and a TERF and a transphobe, had my recovery called into question. The absolute limit was when they showed up at my anniversary celebration that next year. When we opened the meeting up to sharing from the floor this person was chosen to speak. They stood up, said something about how I deserted them because they were having a mastectomy, then ripped open their shirt to show their scars. At an AA MEETING. So yeah. Not just a conservative talking point.

Relationships with authentic trans people are their own thing. I'm a trans man. My partner is a gay guy. He likes men and trans men but has no interest in women. We call ourselves gay, but we recognize that on a kinsey scale we're in a gray area that's not bisexual but not all the way over to homosexual either. I like a lot of what Blaire White says about this not being very bkack and white.
@netjernefer31605 ай бұрын
I appreciate your comment but I feel very awkward about "gay" men attracted by trans men. For me, a p*nis in a v*gin* will never be a homosexual relationship. But what matters is that you and your partner are happy. I wish you all the best.
@YumegakaMurakumo5 ай бұрын
Very interesting comment. I'm a FAB, not super feminine, but feminine enough, and love men, so take my thought with a grain of salt. I think it depends on the appearance and mannerisms of the individual that makes the other attractive to the other. Not necessarily their plumbing they had at birth. We also don't know if they have their original sex organs or not, nor is it our business. At the end of the day, gay, bi or straight, it's a sexual preference we all have. That being said, it's my preference to only want a MAB and nothing else.

@d0minicaj1015 ай бұрын
@netjernefer3160 It's not homosexual. It's it's own thing, but we do use the word gay. Some men like men and trans men who pass but due to no attraction to women they don't claim to be bisexual. They're a minority, but I think that that puts them in a gray area of going with the orientation that is the closest to what they are.
@d0minicaj1015 ай бұрын
@YumegakaMurakumo The genitals matter for most people. It doesn't make them bad or wrong. It's why I don't agree with Arielle being scrutinized for only liking biological women. You shouldn't base your own self worth off of who doesn't want to date you anyway. Some people might look at trans men and trans women who pass and find them very attractive, but that doesn't mean that that attraction will be there when the clothes are off. My experience has been that we have niches where we can find people who like us. I've had luck with apps that have a trans section. I even met my partner on Grindr, because he was specifically looking for trans men.

I was in elementary school mid 90’s, and I remember my best friend (a girl) and I (a girl) being asked questions we didn’t understand. The first one was “are you a virgin?” I said NO! The kids who asked me laughed. Then they asked me “are you a lesbian?” And I said YES (thinking in my kid brain I should answer opposite to the last question I didn’t understand). The kids laughed even harder. I got home from school that day, to my parents waiting to have “the talk” with me. I was mortified 😂 I now understand, rather than my TEACHER choosing to sit me down and explain sex and sexual identities to me, a child, my teacher called my PARENTS. It’s so sad the way we’ve normalized school teachers talking with children about these kinds of things!!!

I mean, there is a middle ground for teachers. If teachers are upfront with what is going to be discussed, everyone is on the same page, and the discussion tries its damndest to be age appropriate, there's no issue with simple definitions. The creeps are the ones who for some reason are constantly talking about it. These things are typically discussions buried in sex ed(1-2 nurse visit presentations, at least once in elementary and at least once in high school), or buried periodically within the reproductive unit in whatever high school grade does its biology focus in science. (Usually grade 9 or 10). The whole unit lasts 3 weeks at most. Contraception and sexual identities is usually a single class worth of time. Maybe a class and a half if there are questions.

Love the awareness this channel is bringing. Thank you! Straight lady here that’s been wondering how the LGBTQ community has been feeling about what’s been going on. It’s hard to ask without offending anyone. It’s been very refreshing to hear your levelheaded input. I stood with the LGBTQ community in the early 2000s, and I still do, but it’s been getting hard with everything that’s been getting out of hand. You’re bringing respect back to the community. I don’t think anybody should be shocked by rejection in the dating scene after a transition. Dating in itself is tricky, no matter who you are. Transitioning is just check marking another box that somebody else may not have checkmarked in their dating preference. It doesn’t make you trans phobic if that’s just not your preference sexually, no matter if you’re gay or straight.

I’ve seen where Nihilism is supposedly a new trending belief in TikTok, even get this “optimistic nihilism”. Yes you read that right. But here’s the thing, if they truly believed in nihilism, they wouldn’t get upset or offended or try to push their political agenda because it wouldn’t matter. That’s the point of nihilism, nothing matters! They’re just trying to hide the fact that they’re narcissists.

I used to object when people called me a lipstick lesbian because, though I'm very feminine in mannerisms and dress, I seldom wear makeup. I called myself femme instead. But now I embrace the word "feminine" for myself. I'd never heard that a lipstick lesbian prefers other feminine women. That's a new definition for me. I'm also pretty sure that the term "lipstick lesbian" predates the 1990s. I just read a lesbian pulp novel from 1965 that uses the term at some point.

I'm a lesbian and I am so thankful to be with my lesbian partner. If I became single in this day and age, I'd dread navigating the dating world with everybody 'identifying' as something they aren't and having to ask people their pronouns, offending people by calling myself a lesbian (refusing the use an umbrella term like 'queer' and such) and having to explain that yes I do have genital preferences but no that doesn't mean I'm a so-called 'TERF' etc etc etc.... it's stuff like this that makes me think I'd just have to stay single as a lesbian until I met somebody with some common damn sense.

Non-men loving non-men is such an offensive way to describe lesbianism. I thought these “woke” Individuals were feminist? No? This reminds me a lot of the feminist book- Invisible Women, by Caroline Criado Perez. She talks about how we live in a world that views women as the secondary sex, while viewing men as the “base setting human.” Referring to women as non men is literally just that. Viewing women as a sub type of human and men as just human. As a bi woman, I’m damn tired of this 1000 gender narrative. I like girls and boys. With the exception of rare intersex conditions, gender is really not complicated. You can be a man, a woman, a trans man, or trans woman. There is no halfway, non-binary, gender-fluid, Demi girl, Demi boy. Even intersex people- they have male and female parts, it’s not a third set of anatomy, it’s both male and female anatomy. If they had a set of completely unique anatomy that neither male nor females had, that would be different. This wierd gender narrative has been exclusively harming women and I don’t really know why. These people confuse presentation and personality with gender. There are infinite ways to express femininity or masculinity or both- but there’s not infinite genders!

Also, a very hot topic political issue that is almost as "touchy" in 2024. I got so tired of it that I refused to participate in the assignment that was on that topic.
