We live in a modern era. NOT in the STONE AGE. Certificates can be Mailed, Send via Internet, Faxed, plus registered mail. No need to fly to England with NO RETURN TICKET back to where she came from. These people think others are fools.

Can’t remember where he studied because he didn’t sleep last night?! My mother is 88 and has dementia, but she certainly remembers the university where she studied. And you could wake me up in the middle of the night from a deep sleep, and I would tell you exactly which courses I studied and which university it was - in Swedish, English, French, Spanish, Italian or Russian. Give me a break.

@@Adam-g01 I’m in the UK next week and already saw that I can buy open return train tickets. You basically buy the to and return ticket for a set price, but the return ticket is basically open in time. So you don’t have to already say at the time of purchase that you drive back at let’s say 19.00h. You can return later if you like. That system is very nice but does not exist in Germany. So if they would have ask me what an open ticket is, I wouldn’t have known neither. They were basically in disbelief that the tourist didn’t know that.

I suspect the first girl had all her documents with her because she knew what she needed when she got to the UK was in that folder so she just dumped the whole lot in her suitcase to save going through it while she was packing. I can see the reasoning behind that. But she has to know that turning up without any money, and no return ticket is going to get queried right?

The lady officer in the end is pretty much the only one not acting as if she/he enjoys satifying sadistic urges playing with other people's lives. I can only assume that this kind of show is one of the reasons British people voted for Brexit. The underlying xenophobic tendencies - far beyond that attitudes necessary for this job - are scary to say the least. If this is what the British people consider fair and humane treatment, I'm more than just disappointed. Just remember - this is a country whose wealth was pretty much founded on the exploitation of colonies.

England is not kicking them out either. The handouts in the UK are much greater and easier to get. Social payments, health care, legal services, housing, etc etc. are there for the taking and they are supplied lawyers who ensure the freebees keep coming. Then they can call for the other 200 people in their family to join them. UK citizens dont care who comes into their country, whereas the French citizens do care.

Sure. I have been a student here on a visa for 5 years, followed by 8 years with a working visa, and I still get a million questions every time I enter the country, fingerprints, letter of employment check, and so on. The one year I was on Optional Practical Training (OPT), on every reentry I was made to sit in a room while they checked with my employers. Missed so many connections / bus rides out of this that I lost count. But sure, believe what the orange man says. CBP does a very thorough job with all non-US citizens.

There's a difference between uninvited stowaways, and stowaways who were knowingly accommodated by the driver and/or shipping company. People lying down on the top of a neat stack of tires is plausibly deniable. People hiding in a void at the front of the trailer, on the other hand, didn't climb into the truck and throw out enough tires to make room for themselves without being observed, and without disturbing the rest of the contents of the trailer; they were obviously accommodated.

I watch this show and also the Border Security Australia. Both prove that the border CAN be controlled and only people who genuinely want to tour or to be legitimate and abide by the nation's laws will be given admittance. Why does the USA not practice this????? We just prop the door open and let people in, a huge number of which have nefarious intent, and then pay them while they are here via welfare, etc. It is wrong! I love my country and don't blame people for wanting to come to the USA but they should have to go through the same process I would if I wanted to gain entry to any other nation in the world, i.e. Greece, Russia, South Africa, etc. AND I would be expected to know the language and provide for my needs, not depend on their government to put everything in my language and pay my way!
