It makes me cringe because it is a slur and the definition literally means “weird.” I’d prefer if people would just say gay/lesbian/bisexual. Whatever they mean. I don’t mean this to be negative, but I don’t understand why the Skin Deep features couples who barely know each other. I filmed a segment with my best friend of 10 years, we had 10 years of life, suffering, and joys that we experienced together. Not to say that someone you have known a short time cannot be impactful in your life, but I learn the most from segments featuring couples who have done significant time together, who have actually stood the test of time, like Ben and Sidra.
