It wouldn't have changed anything - Titus was dead and Max had stolen his armor and pretended to be a knight, so any loyal Brotherhood squire would have acted like Thaddeus - but it definitely didn't help matters any.

well to be fair the branding is an important ritual to them and as weird as it sounds it was a sort of a bonding moment for the two of them. I think it was BECAUSE of the branding that Maximus felt the courage to finally take the gamble and tell him.

Some buildings continue to have power due to miniaturized nuclear batteries (fusion cores) which presumably have really long lifespans. Also the NCR (New California Republic) is one of the major influential factions in the game, the more powerful factions in-game atleast make it a point to stockpile resources almost to the point of minor nation states.

The main character in this show is "the world". Everyone else is an interesting character used to show the world from different perspectives. It's also a goofy world so that is why things are silly.

The place where "Chip guy" was, is the Enclave facility (one of them). The Enclave and The Brotherhood are the two oldest factions in this world, from before nukes, the Enclave was the Shaddow Government, while the Brotherhood was the Army. They are old friends/enemies.. Also both have facilities all over the continent. The Brotherhood high command is East, we haven't seen them still, at this point of the show (ep5), but the Airship that arrived in ep1 was sent from the East, while Quintus, the Brotherhood leader we see, is regional commander and has superiors he answers to.. In case of the Brotherhood of Steel, do not get distracted by medieval vocabulary, and cultish customs, they are hight tech military and nuclear power..

to be fair we have no idea how far separated the 3 vaults are. There could technically be just that much tunneling between 31 and the rest of the vaults.

Glad you like Maximus. Lots of people don't like him because of how awkwardly he acts but you've hit the nail on the head about how his mentality is almost childlike, because that's how cults operate, molding people's minds so that they don't think critically. He's actually more open-minded than most of the Brotherhood's recruits and experiencing the world outside of them makes him start developing his character beyond that of a cult child soldier.

Realistically Thaddeus probably was going to report Maximus, it's just funny to me that Thaddeus (accurately, assuming they go back) says that the Brotherhood finding out what Max did is inevitable, and he immediately interprets that as "I'm going to tell them what you did."

It's easy for someone who's already seen the show to make fun of or criticize first timers' thoughts and theories. Personally, that's one of the things I find most enjoyable about watching reactions -- seeing you trying to put the puzzle pieces together episode to episode. Ignore anyone who talks smack.

Maximus is referring to a different bomb event then Lucy, he is talking about Shady Sands. Lucy "WHY" because your Pip-boy is valuable and you look tasty. Note the name of the lab "Hawthorne R&D" for next episode. Not vault 31, they are nowhere near it. 31 is on the coast. The beginning of next episode explains a great deal. There are more than 111 vaults that we know about, spread across the USA. Shady sands was founded by vault dwellers.

I have a REALLY hard time believing that the makers of the power armor didn't design a system to allow the knight to manually exit the suit in case of power failure. Explosive bolts and gas canisters to blow off the back plate or something.

Well it's entirely possible they did, and Maximus simply doesn't know how to use it. It certainly doesn't seem like he actually knows that much about the armor.

Hey girls, this was a fun reaction. It was funny how u got freaked out & reached for each other when Stephanie (One-Eyed woman) gave her sinister smile.😄 - Lola, you would know what's going on w/the Vaults if u played the games/knew any of the lore. But, I see how much u r intrigued by the mystery, so I'll let the series tell u. I will say this. Yes, there was a Vault for the politicians of the old world. The remnants of the old US government are known as the Enclave. The Enclave is from where Wilzig (Ben) & CX404 (the dog) escaped. Some people did survive on the surface when the bombs dropped. Some Vaults were programmed to open @ certain times after the initial bombs fell. One Vault was to open 10yrs after the bombs, another 100yrs later & some opened out of necessity. Vault dwellers mingled w/surface dwellers, & so began to repopulate the surface. It didn't always work that way, but sometimes it did. Lola, will u stop saying Vault 31 is eating people. If they actually were eating people, don't u think the bodies of the ones in Vault 32 would have been gone, never to be discovered by Norm & Chet, especially w/the span of 2yrs. Nom, Nom!😄 - Anyway, really liked this reaction. Can't wait to see what the next one will be like.😊👍
