Ngl, as far as "the male and female characters need to make googly eyes at each other upon first meeting because it says so in the script" thing goes, I actually don't hate it for Lucy and Maximus. They're both cute and naively buy into the moral codes they were raised in. Like, it's believable to me that they would behave in this way.
