Go over the commercial from the beginning again, that will explain what vault four is all about. The Ghoul absorbs a little Lucy. Lucy fails a sneak check. Nothing about vault four is what you think it is. Fun reaction. Moldaver IMO used cryogenic suspension, that is how she is still alive.

I love how they took commen religious rituals and mixed them together. Also my favourite joke in this is the “Ding Ding” that’s 3 foot of lead.
