I think this video really speaks about Pete and how he wasn't there physically and emotionally. I just really love this song and how even now 5 years later Patrick still gets teary eyed when singing it. I was 13 and Folie à deux, my favorite album in a whole world, just came out. And there were this song and this music video which sounded very much like good bye. Some time later my favorite band went on a hiatus and for a long time I wasn’t even sure if they ever come back. But they did. I’m 25 now and I’m very glad my favorite band is doing okay. I’m not listening to their new stuff but I still love them just because they were my first love and my best friends. And for me this song and this video is always about the end of an era both for FOB and for some part of me.

I'm not a really a depressed person and my life isn't as crappy as I know most other people's are, but sometimes I lock myself in my room, turn off all the lights and listen to this song while wondering what my life is and thinking about all the most complicated and sad thoughts I can muster up. It's as if this song is my way to release all my hidden and pent up frustration, misery and sadness. The line "I've got troubled thoughts and the self esteem to match" just always seems to get me when I hear it.
