@@webbowser8834 If you're playing in game, Beautifly can be legit. I tried to be fancy with the butterfly instead of just sending out ludicolo and paid the price. Competitively its not great, but in game, you can make anything work. Honestly its pretty good in game, early evolution means it can be really strong for the first bit of the game, and even after it falls off, it can still use quiver dance and morning sun for shenanigans. PS: Also, if you're wondering, I ended up losing 5 pokemon in total on that run, it was probably the most successful nuzlocke I've ever done. I lost 1 more on victory road, then 3 to Steven's freaking insane mega-metagross. :p
@redwings134004 жыл бұрын
Cradily is weird, but in the right situation, it is extremely hard to kill. Grass and Rock both have a lot of weaknesses and a lot of resistances, leading to a really unique defensive typing for our plant. Rock and grass cancel out six of each others weaknesses, which means despite both having 5 weaknesses and 4 resistances individually, Cradily itself only has 4 weaknesses and 2 resistances total. Even better for it, it has rock type moves to threaten bug and ice type pokemon, and grass type moves to threaten water pokemon with ice coverage. Steel is a relatively weak offensive typing which is rarely used as coverage, so it really just needs team support with fighting and steel types. Electric and normal resists with a water immunity is pretty nice too. Sure, its slow, but its bulky and has recover, which makes it pretty decent. Its not unkillable, but a surprising amount of pokemon just have absolutely no way to deal with this thing, and standard coverage options often don't work against it. Cradily can stonewall your standard fire/water/grass core, or your rock/ground coverage, or your electric pokemon with overheat for grass types, and its complete uniqueness is what can make it effective. EDIT: Good point about rock having 5 weaknesses, I misread the type chart at first. Edited :)
@reddragonair31474 жыл бұрын
I love the almost perfect defensive core it forms with Ferrothorn and Mega Venusaur in Monotype: Grass. I've definitely grown to appreciate Cradily more over the years. It's unconventional, even for a fossil Pokémon, but it works and even works well when played to its strengths by a responsible player. Perhaps one of my favorite things about it is how it takes two of the absolute weakest defensive types and combines them to make a solid dual type which, as you said, is very difficult to deal with for a surprising amount of Pokémon. Also, Rock has five weaknesses, not four. It ties with Grass as having the most weaknesses out of any single type.

Weird fact about Cradily: Cradily is the longest Pokemon name that ciphers with Caesar Cipher, Atbash Cipher, or a mixture of the two called "Atbash plus Caesar" Cipher into a word. No Pokemon names encipher into another Pokemon name though. Cradily ciphers into "julidan" with applied Atbash cipher then a Caesar cipher shift of 12. The only other 5-letter and longer ones that do are Golem which becomes "murks" with a Caesar cipher of 6, Hoopa which become "leeds" with an Atbash cipher then a Caesar cipher of 19, Luxio which becomes "Durga" (the name of an Indian god) with an Atbash cipher then a Caesar cipher of 15, Ditto which becomes "jetty" with an Atbash cipher then a Caesar cipher of 13, Regice which becomes "recage" with an Atbash cipher then a Caesar cipher of 9, and Wooloo which becomes "gooroo" with a Atbash cipher than a Caesar cipher of 3.

Cradily. An uncommon Pokémon with a weird typing that left you wondering what it’s weaknesses were. It’s a Rock-type that wasn’t weak to Water, Grass, or Ground. And a Grass-Type that isn’t weak to Fire, Flying, or Poison.
@gengarzilla16854 жыл бұрын
Because I like this Pokémon, I've practically drilled its weaknesses into my head. Bug, Fighting, Ice, Steel. I'm never going to let them slip my mind.
@CritsuKirby4 жыл бұрын
Back in its debut, I remember people having trouble figuring out its weaknesses. But starting in Gen 4, Ice and Fighting became very common offensive types. And Bug types getting stronger in Gen 5 didn’t help it either.

I ought to reconsider Cradily with what it can do, because for a long time, I didn't pay too much attention to it.
@jaernihiltheus78174 жыл бұрын
It's by no means the best at anything it can do, but it's a surprisingly effective bulky toolbox that can fill a good dozen or so stall and/or support functions. There's most likely something better for whatever you have in mind, but it's extremely unpredictable and - especially if you're running a mono-Grass or mono-Rock team, it can be an invaluable member of the team within the right team comp. It also has like 10 ways of recovering health. If one wanted to torture their opponent, a bulky Cradily with Pain Split, Giga Drain, Ingrain/Rest, and Toxic/Stockpile/Barrier/Curse/Sandstorm/Gastro Acid/Recover (to name just a few options) with Leftovers is entirely possible and pretty easy to make.
@devilex1214 жыл бұрын
try a max hp max sp def set with leftovers and suction cups moveset: curse, amnesia, rest, rock tomb i had teams centered around cradily for both gen7 OU and monotype and this thing is great once you remove fighting, ground, and steel types with teammates

Out of curiosity, let’s say you hypothetically do a video on all fully evolved Pokemon at some point and a new generation isn’t coming out in a year or two from the release date of that video. Would you just take a break, start doing some Little Cup vids, do some untiered vids? 🤔
