Family Diary| Lou has a bleeding toe.

Loulou got her toe stuck between the planks of the bridge, she walked on quickly so we didn't notice anything. When we got home we saw blood everywhere. She is doing well now, the bleeding has stopped. For those who don't know, when we're on vacation I always choose beer for Fred. I only look at the label what I find funny, beautiful or strange. He tests it and gives his opinion. I shared it on KZbin once for fun and the reactions were so nice and positive that I do it more often. Have a wonderful Sunday, xxx Eveline

Hopefully loulou’s nail is okay 😢 glad she’s doing alright. We finally get to see your bedroom with Mimi! I love the “minimalist” way you have your furniture throughout the house. My house isn’t that big and I feel like ours is way too cluttered. Going to look into making it a lot more sparse. Your home seems so calm and inviting I love it! I think that’s how the Scandinavian countries are. When I went to Iceland a few years ago I noticed the hotel I stayed at was decorated that way as well with a lot of white. My pup also pulled her toe nail out, but I had to take her to the vet because it wouldn't stop bleeding. The hardest part was keeping the mitt on her foot for a few days. - I like the hanging baum for the cat.

Yes, a toenail continues to bleed for a long time. It's a good sign if all the dirt keeps coming out. I've squeezed it with a tight towel and tonight I'll put on a sock just to be on the safe side. xx

Poor Loulou! I hope she feels better soon! My doxie Bonnie just healed up from hurting her own toe in a similar accident. She really wanted to chew on it, so she had to be in the Cone of Shame for a while; glad to be free at last 😂 We also just brought home a new kitten, so I love seeing the new member of the family playing and enjoying the spring. Mimi is so beautiful! Cuddling the chicken was so cute! I met a red chicken once who climbed right in my lap and wanted cuddles. I had never met a chicken before, so I was surprised by how sweet and curious they can be!

Oh no, Miss Lou! That hurts so bad. There are a ton of nerve endings there. I am surprised she is not crying. Our Dachshund cracks her claws on the back toes a lot from digging and playing with the blankets. She will not cry, but she hides the paw from me like a little child.

Our Chiweenie got his toenail stuck in between boards on my walkway. He pulled his toenail out. The vet said he was okay but the nail would never grow back. It grew back but is a weird shape and different color than the rest. And it grows sideways. His nails grow real fast and curl. My seeet little 10 pound late Chihuahua Minnie had very long straight nails with long quirks. I always had trouble cutting her nails because I would catch the quick and make her bleed. Your little Mimi is such a pretty cat. Kittens are so busy then boom they sleep for hours. I used to pick my husbands wine the same way you pick beer. I don’t drink so I never knew what to buy. He said I did well usually. He has quit drinking so I don’t have to pick anymore. Yeah! Hope Lou Lou is doing ok.
