May I please spell out possibly the first moment in decades where Family Guy sets up REAL, ACTUAL, FUNNY JOKES. We open with the nonsensical yet rather funny juxtaposition of channels and drugs. Then set up of scenario. Peter is a) an idiot and b) was watching three letter things c) of people tripping out. He registers that there is a spa day, but best he can do is spell it, just like on TV, sounding like the LSDers. A joke lands. Lois didn't see the thing, all she registers is Peter spelling something. Layers of tired wife, encouraging mother, and indifferent woman pile on with the simple, "Well done peter". A joke lands. We move on, she explains scene. Peter's comprehension at a far lower level rears his head yet again, and we're sensitive to his dumb shit with his previous line. "But he's not ticklish anywhere!". We know how him and his dad in law get along (not at all), so we subvert our expectation, and we get an entire story in that one line. And he clearly tried *everywhere*. AND A JOKE FUCKING LANDS. FAMILY GUY MADE THREE GOOD JOKES IN A ROW. THIS HAPPENED! I SAW IT! IT IS DONE!
