Naude and Katja, the founders of OCN were asked to take their kids on a seal rescue, and have their kids interview Naude while doing so. The family had an awesome time out there, and so did Nina, Dylan and Marley. 🦭

Naude: ". . . it makes me really happy to help these animals because they can't help themselves." This is, I think, an essential part of OCN's raison d'être. And I wholeheartedly support their rescue efforts!

Educating old farts, like me, too. Been a pescatarian for 20+ years. After watching these videos and seeing what devastating consequences there are from the fishing industry put me off fish.

@@Dowlphin It was a saying by the great comedian and actor W.C. Fields. He said to never work with children or animals because they will steal the show. Of course, he worked with many children and animals and the made some great movies, now almost ninety years ago.

It really is a relief to see the new generation interested in nature conservation. It is even nicer to see the dad responding sympathetically and looking into the children's faces. Good dad! And good all for giving the other puppies their freedom back. 💕😊🇮🇹💕

You can see what a great dad he is when he tells them to stand back and they do so immediately. They trust what he says is the right thing to do. He is probably always honest and straightforward with them. That's the kind of parent we should all try to be!

First catch was a great relief I thought he was gone, it’s so lovely to see the little Children taking an interest, it’s right that they know what’s happening to these animals..Thank you for taking the time to explain to them.

The seal at the end swam off and was probably noticing the aerodynamic improvements of his glide through the water, thanks to that annoying neckless removal. great work

I often wonder too if occurs to them how effortlessly they are moving in the water without the drag of the “necklace” or ball of line around them.

@@terrybittenbender6667 definately with thick cotton style clothing I think. The fishing line I would think not unless a big ball. That would be more a constant stinging pain. Be nice relief to have that heal up

I like how the seal was actually the perfect one for this interview! It wasn't trying to fight too much once it got into the net allowing the kids to stand close as they asked questions! That was really cute and the seal was adorable at the end too.

Absolutely LOVE seeing the family getting involved with the rescue!! You even showed AND explained perfectly how the kiddos were being kept safe during the rescues, both during the captures & the releases. Awesome job!! This is how we should teach the next generation.

I think they listen when you talk . I believe that is why he was so calm. Hearing you explain it to the kids let him know. I have been analyzing the behavior . Watching the difference when Tony pets them and the way they watch when you catch one.

The seal was happy to be rescued, and have your family with you at the beach, to ask very important questions regarding him. After the save, the seal thought he would have a look at your beautiful family, and some future rescuers as well. I'm sure the seal was telling his friends that he even met your very nice human pups also. Great work, and to see future rescuers as well helping out👍👍
