When I was at SCAD in 2003, I saw the Matrix II at a theater down there and J-LO and Ben Afleck got escorted into the theater before anyone else was seated. They played a preview of Dare Devil and everyone turned around to see his reaction. Other than that everyone was chill to them and left them alone. Pretty surreal experience.

HBO Max is doing new Looney Tunes. Or that's what was thrown out there. I didn't get half of the references from Looney Tunes and Tiny Tunes had an episode that was parodying Rear Window and I didn't get that till I was older.

I'm not going to defend this dumb movie but will say that for most of life, most of my knowledge of classic movies came from references in cartoons like Looney Tunes (which were also already 30+ years old when I watched them). So putting adult or old references in a kid's show or movie isn't necessarily a bad thing. That said, everything I've seen about this movie looks absolutely awful.

I thoroughly agree with Danielle about the slowed-down songs. In ads too. If you want to do an actual full remake of a song, fine. In a trailer or an ad the partial remake is telling me that your product is a bad imitation. Also, is Bjork that expensive that someone else had to do a slightly different version of "It's Oh So Quiet" for an ad that is circulating now?
