@peggyl75653 жыл бұрын
As far as the heating I'm sure yours is just like my magic chef. They use residual heating. Dishes are dried using heat that has formed during the wash cycle. Residual heat drying is one of the best and most hygienic ways to dry dishes, because it avoids using air from outside the dishwasher. At the 20 minute Mark mine went quiet too so I think it was the Residual heating cycle.

I have a smaller Farberware portable countertop dishwasher that fills by pouring water into a hole on the top or can be filled by sink attachment. I can load easily a sinkfull of dishes including at least 3 dinner plates , 3 salad plates, 3 bowls , 3-4 drinking cups/coffee mugs and several utensils and a plastic container or two. It can be filled manually at the top and drains into a bucket on the floor so it is completely portable to be used just about anywhere. The units regular cycle is slightly over 2 hours and it has other cycles for glasses only and a fruit wash cycle. It also has a quick cycle that is 45 minutes. The quick cycle is the only cycle I have ever used and dishes come out extremely sparkling clean and smell fresh every time. It uses any dishwasher detergent and only a small amount is needed. The water temp is equal to the standard high temp on a fullsize dishwasher. I have mine on a cart in my kitchen away from sink and counter so it does not use up any much needed space in my small kitchen. I use half a pod tab by just cutting it in half as I foumd by trial and error that a half tab is all thats needed for clean dishes. The only thing I do is scrape off any food chunks to load dishes, fill with water, add the half tab and press quick wash and the machine does all the rest. It does not dry dishes but does do a short air cycle that is not heated to avoid any spotty dishes. The unit has a light inside so at the beginning you can easily see it work and it is very quiet when operated. The Farberware I have cost over $300 a few years ago whe. I bought it but I caught a deal on Facebook Marketplaces for only $100 new in a sealed box. I would recomend a countertop dishwasher to anyone who prefers to use a dishwasher and who does not have the ability to have a fullsize one. Farberware is an excellent brand and the one I have has retained most of its originnal value throughout the years because of the quality. My small dishwasher is perfect for our 2 people household for cleaning dishes. (Pots and pans are too big so those are washed by hand) and the convenience is perfect for us. The think I like most is that dishes always are very sparkling clean with no spots or food left over and it help me keep my keep my kitchen clean by washing dishes with ease of use. Buy you one if you are in need of an excellent dishwasher.

Would I be able to use this portable dishwasher as well as a regular dishwasher at the same time through the same sink?
@NotsoEP8 ай бұрын
I am not a plumber. But i would imagine why not. The only issue I see is if they both discharge at the same time, the sink might back up since the regular washer usually connects directly to the drain under sink (or disposal) and the countertop connects to faucet so discharges into the sink

@starwenexpress4 жыл бұрын
@@NotsoEP well I decided to use cold water and it still took the 2hrs to clean the dishes on P2 option. My hose itself leaks from the faucet of the sink. It's like the water pressure is too powerful for the hose so a little water trickles out. I was going to make a video to see what you thought cause I was wondering if my hose is defective or not. I bought my from amazon so I'm sure I can exchange it but they dont have anymore in stock right now and I'm not sure if I can call Farberware company for a replacement. Jason Poe you can use cold water only. The machine heats everything up. If you use the p6 setting then it’s only a 45 minute cycle. Also, mine leaked from the faucet in the beginning. I didn’t have a washer attached to the connection. It solved the problem.
