You’re doing such a good job vlogging Miah! Everything looks 👍🏼 I’ve noticed some traffic in previous videos so I can only imagine your relief as a parent. The boys were hard at work in the trailer and it kept them busy...life on a farm. I use do go dig in the burn piles for treasures and bring my parents back the stuff they were trying to get rid of 😂 “ he woke up with 24 hens...prayer works” 😂

It’s so beautiful to see the way your kids use their imagination and play outside so much! Getting dirty and playing with sticks and enjoying it❤️ I cannot wait until we have a place where my kids can run around and play, build forts, climb on dirt mounds and I will actually feel safe and comfortable with them doing that. With the trailer the kids put sheets in, if you have a projector you can hang a white sheet against the back wall and have a movie night in there! That way, they'll get to have fun in their creation without having to sleep there

I have fond memories of redecorating a corncrib every summer with bulk fabric my family claimed from a local factory: curtains, room dividers, and knick-knacks. My brother & I also made tents by throwing the fabric over picnic tables and washlines. So thrilled to see that children still do these things!

Such a great and heartwarming video. You have such beautiful and amazing animals (just love those cute alpaca faces). All your animals have adorable personalities. You and Jess have such a happy, heartwarming and uplifting homestead & family. That ending with all you boys together was wonderful. Jess is missed when she's gone, but you do an amazing job filling in for her. You guys have been my inspiration for starting a garden. I'm actually dreaming again and wanting to get my 2.6 acres back in shape to become a homestead. I got very sick a few years back and will need some help but, with prayer and determination, I know it can happen. Thank you for sharing.

When you have time and finds, you should plant a tree border, it helps keep the noise from the road down and of course keeps it private. I hear bamboo is great as a natural screen and very useful in many ways, including making fabric and as building material. Can obviously be very useful in a homestead.

magnifikris - Bamboo is terribly invasive. My sister’s neighbor planted some in her backyard & now it has completely taken over my sister’s backyard. She has tried everything to kill it but no luck. There are supposed to be some clumping kinds but I wouldn’t trust any of them. Just FYI.

If you pull the hive reducers out the bees wont have to work so hard to cool the hive. Here in Michigan we don't leave those during summer.(rookie mistake I did my first year too). They have been there long enough to not worry about robbing from each other.

I love alpacas! I don't have the ability to have any of my own but I enjoy seeing yours. Your kids are adorable. I love how they are growing up so in touch with gardening and go around eating straight from the garden. As my siblings and I do, they will cherish these times as they grow up and look back on them. This was a very good video. One thing...your big squash plant needs water. It is like my volunteer butternut squash plant. It has gone nuts, but it has four big squash on it and many more smaller ones. God watered his garden yesterday, almost two inches. Boy did that help me out! I said thank you many times.
