Ok. That suit may be the most blue suit I have EVER seen in my life. Faron was too cool! Love him!

Faron had to be in his early twenties if that when this video was taped. He has just a touch of Hank Williams draw but makes the music his own. They will never be another like him love his music.

I would guess you're referring to "Murder on Music Row" and saying that Faron went pop? He could sing any style and he was good at the Dean Martin/Bing Crosby stuff. He did experiment some, but decided his fans preferred the steel guitars and shuffle beat.

You can read about Faron's life and death in "Live Fast, Love Hard: The Faron Young Story." His suicide was a consequence of his severe depression.

I guess some people haven't heard one of the coolest songs and certainly truest, "Murder on Music Row."

Who is that brunette girl standing in back during the intro. I know she is a Carolina Clogger, does any one know her name?

sad that what they call country today is more rock than real country

Virtually veryone slicked up their sound in The 1960's My Friend & "Murder on Music Row" is referring to the garbage of today NOT The Nashville Sound of the late 50's through 1960's. Songs like "Hello Walls" are obviously the more modern/slash less hillbilly of the era but Faron never strayed too far from his country roots. Aside from that he was the most gifted singer of his or any era in my opinion & calling him a murder of country music is an insult to a legend & quite frankly ridiculous.

Nice performance, but it always strikes me as corny, disrespectful, and distractiing for the stage members to holler and clap during gaps in the vocalizing.

Milton Moore I agree

That's the problem. Too many like Faron committed murder, as in the song, and abandoned the good stuff.

Greg Harms HE ALWAYS PERFORMED HIS ORIGINALS. JUST LIKE WITH JERRY LEE LEWIS, THE PRODUCERS WRECKED THINGS. TRASHVILLE WAS BORN ABOUT THIRTY YEARS AGO. IT KILLED HIM, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
