Bought mine a few days ago It impressed me very much. With only a smal HF air compressor behind it and it took apart exhaust from a 97 camaro. Bolts and nuts were all rusted but had no problem coming loose. Worth the money

I really love mine. Aircat makes a really good tool.

Your video mentions the grease point at the front of the gun @3:19 and you said it should be oiled. Since I purchased my Aircat 1150 in 2015 I have wondered about that. It looks like a Zerk fitting with a ball but it is not exposed so you can't get a grease gun on it and the owner manual does not mention this at all. Does anyone know how to get oil and/or grease in there and/or what type of lube should be used?

You'll need a needle attachment for your grease gun. One squirt will last years.

thanks...the Aircat parts diagram shows an anvil bushing at the front of the impact., so I assume this is what that zerk fitting is meant to lubricate, and I guess a light oil is needed...?

I contacted Aircat about this. He told me that there is lithium-based grease in the front of the gun that flies around in there for the hammers, and it's not filled up with a lot of grease. He said unless I use the gun a lot, not to mess with trying to add grease. So I don't think oiling is the right thing for that zerk fitting.

I've had mine for a couple of years now and it has been great for wheels and suspension - I didn't get one of them fancy schmancy stickers though...

Looks good! I'm always interested in new tool reviews. I've pretty much decided to replace most of my air tools with electric (cordless or corded) tools because I can take them out to "the back forty" and use them. What are your thoughts regarding air vs. electric tools?
@Jayjora89105 жыл бұрын
Electric impacts are far more convenient. But when I need more power I go to the pneumatic tools. Dewalt XR 20v Max are a good way to go.

I'm curious, does that hun only fit one air line fitting or can you put a different on on?

I use my air cat everyday for 3 year it's slowly losing its torque. Its good for taking off wheel and doing suspension work. It's best not to use on heavy truck everyday it will cause wear and tear in the long run. I just like the light weight and the grip.

I do like the light weight and low noise level on these, but i will agree that they tend to lose power over time no matter what you do to take care of them. Still, not a bad tool for the price.
