Thank you thank you thank you so much for making this video. You have no idea what it means to me :) could you also please please make a video on what workout you used to do during your modeling time to reduce your thighs and hips and what workout you do these days when you have to loose a couple of pounds and excercise during maintenance phase?!! Many many thanks. Love your videos and you are always pleasant to watch :) xoxo

Breakfast: normally Kellog all bran cereal (high fiber) but when she is losing weight- egg omelet with fresh tomatoes chives and side of spinach. Snack of nuts and water and cup of tea. Lunch- salad (lots of variety of veggies tomatoes cheese avocados, cucumber, cheese, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic, spinach, watercress) with side of chicken or salmon. Workout Dinner- chicken + veggies (broccoli, green beans, spinach and asparagus) no starchy carbs. (She will allow potatoes when she isn’t trying to lose weight) Dessert- berries Tips- don’t allow yourself to go hungry. Fill yourself up to last the next meal. Protein is better, carbs not so much. Lift your legs and squeeze bum while cooking She looks amazing!!

I have found true for me is your same diet. Up until 40 or so I really didn't pay much attention to what I ate (just didn't over eat). Somehow after that I suddenly had a tummy!! I find that restricting carbs and eating whole foods was the key. Never apologize for thinking you're not a sous-chef. Simple is fine. I'm always thinking I'm slacking by not using fresh herbs but for me, it's just easier to throw some dried stuff on to jazz it up. Another point is that I feel that your body decides where it loses weight. I lose inches in my waist first and then thighs (which is, of course, my nemesis!). As always, a delightful glimpse into your day.

Happy to hear your sound healthy eating plan. I truly believe eating a morning meal and meals spread out throughout the day is key to the healthy mind, body, and immune system. Lately, it’s the popular thing to cease eating for the majority of the day. The scale might take a turn doing this because you’ve limited intake,,,but the damage one can’t see is being done. When cancer and /or immune disease hit close to home or personally, we can become (I have) extra motivated to feed ourselves for our overall internal health foremost and that luckily makes the outside look it’s best too. Thanks for sharing your sensible safe plan.

Hi Jess, great video! I have been on a Keto diet for last 4 months, I've lost 10 kilos which I really needed to do! It was so easy and with such low carbs I feel so full of energy and my sugar cravings are non existent now! Its been life changing! I notice your diet is also very low on the sugar which is the way to go IMO. xx

Some ways you can include turmeric in your diet include adding a teaspoon or so to rice dishes (turns a lovely golden colour with not a lot of taste change) make a rub with cumin, coriander, salt and pepper, garlic and rub on chicken or fish before cooking. also check curry powders or pastes if you eat them as often they have turmeric. thanks from Australia for another lovely video xo

Hi lovely, we're all so different and I guess that means why 1 diet can't possibly fit all. I truly believe it's a lot of trial and error but also common sense. We all know deep down which foods are good for us and which are bad. But real life doesn't mean we can stick to that all the time! I really think you have to do what makes you feel good and equally what works for you to be as healthy as possible:) x

I just don't think i'd stick with this kind of eating for very long sadly. I love Carbs too much! Lol But glad it works for you, you look great! At a UK 10, i don't need to lose weight as such - but i do think i should cut back a bit on certain foods as my stomach could be a lot flatter. Maybe slowly reducing carbs might help. But great video anyway!

We are sharing the same diet. Low carb, no sugar. I started to eat like this 6 years ago and lost 10 kilograms. I don't care about my diet when I am on vacation or during the holidays but I start immediately when my normal schedule starts. For this sugar cravings I always have berries, yoghurt and dark chocolate at home. The only bad habit I developed is my diet Coke kinda addiction..

Yup :) sounds about right! That is basically how I eat (when I'm not on summer vacation lol) and I feel great when I eat like this, lots of energy, feel strong and healthy. LOVE the Mediterranean flavors, olives for healthy fat, lots of greens, feta cheese, tomato, basil, chicken, chick peas (love chick peas), avocado, salmon, tuna....I create meals with these types of ingredients that are to die for...just so delicious that it is impossible not to enjoy eating! Keep up the good work with your meals :)

I'm a Ketogenic follower. Would be addicted to carbs but they are so bad for me. I eat pretty much everything you eat but add bacon to my scrambled eggs, add tablespoon of whole egg mayo to my canned tuna, cook my asparagus and mushrooms in BUTTER and add full cream to my strawberries with sugarfree chocolate shavings. 12 kilos down and blood work never better. Prothylising, yep.

We live out in the sticks so it's not easy to go and cheat by nipping round the corner lol! You eat very much as we do and I have found that veggies n proteins are the way to go too! I have practiced intermittent fasting also for over 40 years (before any of us knew it was called that!) and I always feel better doing that than when I don't! You're so right though that we're all individuals and we have to work out what does the trick for us slotted in with the basic healthy eating principles we all know! Now, for that gym/exercise routine lol! Leo x

Hi Lenora, great I shall add it to the list then:) Thanks so much for watching hun and letting me know your thoughts. I love eating Veggies and protein, it feels so much nicer in your body doesn't it. That's interesting you really like the intermittent fasting. Whatever works absolutely go for it.I struggled on that diet to be honest. I found on the eat days I'd go slightly bonkers eating everything and anything because I was starving! Haha, which I'm sure negated all the good I had done:/ But I read a lot about the benefits and I can absolutely see the positives in it, I just wasn't very good at it! Hi Michelle, thanks so much for watching and getting in touch:) I really do find cutting out the 'bad' carbs really helps and just fill myself full of the good ones. Hello Jess, first thing first you look stunning, no need to loose weight imo🙌🏻but I understand it is a personal preference of how we want to look and how we feel good😊😊If I may suggest a thing, try having cream soups for dinner and avoid fruits in the evening if you want to avoid bloated belly in the morning. My best friend is a nutritionist and suggested that to me (basically avoid any raw ingredients in the evening because they will sit in your stomach and simply rot which inevitably lead to bloating, imagine all the food waste after a day or two that's what happens in our stomach 🤐). If I follow that guideline I never wake up with a bloated belly. On the side note love the way you style your hair soo much🤩 (I also have my house for myself for few days.. So quiet it hurts😅😅😅)hugs kat xx
@FashionStyleEdit5 жыл бұрын
That makes total sense thanks so much Kat. I'll switch things around a little, certainly the strawberries in the evening, maybe as a snack in the day instead:) I definitely need something sweet throughout the day but I guess in the evening that could make me bloat more. Enjoy the time alone lovely, it's strange isn't it! I crave a bit of peace and quiet then when I have it I don't like it! x

Hey Jess, we are back from Barcelona and my daughter has decided to be my personal trainer! I do need to lose some weight, but as we all know it's harder to do after menopause. Coincidentally, I'm pretty much following a similar eating plan to yours. Lots of veg, fruit, fish and the odd steak. @@FashionStyleEdit Hi :) I don't like the taste of turmeric, so what I do is I add a teaspoon of it to my morning smoothies with a pinch of black pepper. You will not taste it but you will get all the good stuff out of it. Black pepper is highly recommended to be added to turmeric since it raises its effect significantly. Turmeric is especially good to prevent leukemia. However, if you love the taste of it, it goes well with vegetable stews or ratatouille. Hope this helped :)

Hi Valerie, Im nearly 5ft 8 and about 9st. Though I tend not to weigh myself very often and prefer to just go by how my clothes fit? I don't actually know my measurements so Ill have to get back to you on that one! x

When I first todays title I thought to myself “how can Jess ever NEED to lose weight?” but I guess that this highlights that none of us is ever happy 100% or all of the time with our bodies are we? That said Jess you look amazing to me all of the time and I wish I had your worries about bum and thigh area I really do 🥴. The eating advice is very good and low carb which I have indeed lost weight on in the past but I just can’t find the willpower to do it anymore! I guess I just have to try harder! Nice vid Jess and your hair looks great up in a gym pony!!! Is there anything you don’t look good in?? Xx

This is very helpful ....I have a tendency to put on weight in my bottom half and lose weight from my top half.....hope this works for me too.
@FashionStyleEdit3 жыл бұрын
Yes I was always the same:/ But once I tried eating low carbs the weight started coming off my hips and legs for the first time. I do find this way of eating really helps:) x

Just as a "side note" The word "tapas" literally means Cover. It comes from a very old custom of covering the alcoholic beverage at the bar's serving counter with a slice of bread or meat cut to prevent any dust or bugs getting in the glass. That is how it became customary to have nibbles with your drink at "happy hour" in Spain. So Tapas is not a dish. It really means snack or nibbles, with or without the drink.

Hello Jess. I've recently found you and subscribed. love your style. I'm not sure why you say you need to drop a few pounds, you seem very slim and healthy to me. Especially since you've been a mom to 3 boys? Well, I still can relate to wanting those 5 or 6 pounds off the waist line, we all feel that way. You look great and I love the simplicity of your style and down to earth attitude. Cheers!

It’s easy to see why you look so fantastic at 40! You once said that you eat chocolate every day. Do you cut that out completely when you want to lose a little weight?
@FashionStyleEdit5 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrea, sadly not really! Haha I'm such a chocoholic I can't seem to manage to cut it out all together. It's very sad but I just treat myself to one square a day! My Granny once said to me ' chocolate doesn't actually fill you up so there's no benefit to eating a whole bar. Just take one square and let it melt in your mouth. Savouring the flavour and that cures the urge'. It really stuck with me over the years so that's what I do! Obviously sometimes I completely crack and have to have more than one square but I try and stick to this method on a day to day basis:) x

Sweetheart, there are so many delicious healthy cereals out there, no need to suffer. Or if you must stick with it, add some berries or other fruit. You look Fabulous by the way.

Can you please list/describe the initial diet that you were on, the one that caused you to lose so much weight that your modeling agency got upset with you?
@FashionStyleEdit5 жыл бұрын
Hi lovely, I'm really not sure that would be so healthy lovely. It was really an extreme version of how I eat now but I didn't look good for it:/ I just went too skinny and in fairness looked a bit skeletal:( The way I eat now will absolutely make you lose weight if that's what you want it really works but it's just a much healthier version:) x

Fashion + Style Edit Oh no, it’s just you eat extremely clean compared to most of usual millennials. I guess you developed healthy eating habit very early on due to your modelling background, so it seems this is your normal day of eating! Love xx

Aah I see. Well I definitely have my moments that's for sure! Particularly when I'm premenstrual and I NEED chocolate! But generally I love eating like this and it makes me feel good from the inside. Plus I'm really conscious ( a little paranoid after my Mum) to be as healthy as i can be:/ Hence the broccoli intake! Thanks for watching lovely x

I agree with you strict dieting doesn't work, you have to find a healthy diet/lifestyle that you can stick to. Luckily l haven't had a weight issue natural tall and thin, but of course l can't eat all l want or as much as I want. I have been doing the intermittent fasting for many years. l eat between the times of 12 pm to 7pm, no night time eating and have maintain a weight of 125 lb/ 5'10" since my twenties,many years ago! Healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle will win the day! 😊🍁

I noticed you didn't incorporate fruits or legumes. Is that because of the carbs and sugar?

Hi Heather, thanks so much for watching. I try and stick with mainly berries and melon as I find the other fruits really bloat me and I hate the feeling in my tummy:/ Hope that helps hun x
