Also, CPR doesn’t restart the heart by some magical bullshit; it’s to keep blood going to the brain to keep it alive so it can restart the heart. The defibrillator shuts off the heart to give the brain an opportunity to restart it in a better rhythm than it was. Defibrillators are only supposed to shock on pulseless ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation; shocking a flatline, known as asystole, doesn’t accomplish anything.

Paramedic here, and I was happy he looked at the face (and I assumed the character checked the central pulse while doing that) first, then facepalmed when he when to the hand and everywhere else instead of CPR. The game also didn’t prompt him to reassess the pulse after seeing the sinus rhythm when it could be PEA. Just things people who work in EMS notice, I guess.

@@tmasterlordoflightning4754 I would hope it would work better in multiplayer mode. I guess it would be a little difficult to do things correctly in that scenario if you were alone. I will say though I am impressed that the game is more realistic than I thought. It's also probably worth noting that I don't have enough field experience to be wholly confident in what I say here, as I went to work as a tech in the ER rather than on a rig, so my limited field knowledge comes from the class, as well as the 2 shifts I did for clinical time as part of that class.
