It's very possible, but you pick up speed quickly, and in seconds can be at speeds that require professional skill to keep the shiny side up. I'm good for about a second in a 🎉vertical before I need it to start rolling out. Any longer than that, I'm not certain my hardtail has enough slack for the hard braking required to get back to a manageable speed, anything more then a few seconds at those speeds, the trail WILL exact revenge upon me for disrespecting it's temperament.

You need both brakes to slow down. At the top you can hear him skidding his back tire and as he gets into the cliff he lets off a bit but hes still hard on the front and back. If he didnt use them he would have been going too fast to stop at the bottom

I think the grip is pretty good on these rocks a along as they are dry. he was definitely braking the whole time but just the right amount and smoothly.the back brake alone is probably pretty useless though.
