I realize now that this being the first DnD campaign I've ever consumed has spoiled me. Since I caught up with this I started watching dimention 20's campaign. It's a lot of fun but you truely have something special here. Monty, you're a unbelievable story teller and you encourage EXCELLANT pacing. Joe, you're one of the funniest individuals I've encountered anywhere on the internet regardless of niche. comedy is about time so you must be into chronomancy. Jill, you're analytical skills and ability to remember important info has single handed saved this campaign from losing vitaly important plot points more times than i can count, you're a player everyone wishes they had in their story based adventures. Kelly your rp dialogues are fantastic and I look forward to talking episodes like this just to hear you interact with people in universe.

Ive always thought Dungeons Dudes have this incredible skill of being "Professionally unprofessional" and i dont mean that as an insult but as an compliment. Their campaigns feel like home games you can relate to while still being as amazing as any high caliber tvshow. The set pieces are great, the story is amazing, the characters intriguing, while STILL making me feel like im sinking in a warm bed covered in a soft blanket while watching. Its just something special i dont feel watching other DnD shows like dimension 20, even though i love those as well.

I totally agree. Not to be negative but its Refreshing to see players who Actually know how to play the game VS other streams that Are larger and have been going for a longer time and the players still have no clue how to play their characters

the dungeon dudes gameplay feels so much more relateable than Dimension20 and critical role, to me personally. This one truly reminds me of my group's D&D sessions, it's a very ''normal'' playstyle, in a very good way

This episode is such a good example of why Monty is a such a boss DM. So many people would be like, ‘I can’t just set up an epic, strategic encounter by letting them know what spells and tactics the enemy has and that a lot of prep is necessary to avoid death - it’s too gamey ’. Yes, you can and it will be rad. It’s a story that emerges from a game. Respecting the game element makes the story stronger.

I just want to say, I really love how much prestige and awe this campaign treats the Wish spell with. And why shouldn’t it be! It’s capable of warping reality to whatever you want, DM fiat aside. Of course it’s the kind of magic that is highly guarded, spoken of only in legends, and teaching it to another is treated with the utmost care. It’s too often you see people just treat it as “oh yay level 17, now I have the best spell in the game!” instead of the enormous power it really is.

I love Monty's idea about each person only having a limited number of uses of the Wish Spell, and the spell having an addictive after-taste.

I just avoid the spell. Over-hyped and personally better spell choices. I'd rather not lose a spell that they already limited the amount they gave in this edition

Hard to believe this team has come so far. I miss the low stakes early days when they were just scrounging for delirium in the dirt. Monty has done such an incredible job amping up the stakes and expanding the concerns and knowledge of the party, making each episode feel like the most important one yet. And the team has done such an incredible job with these characters. But this is definitely their biggest challenge yet.

that could be a fun minigame in battle ergo cast planeshift then roll to hit, on a hit then roll to save just for sebastian to stay a participant. kind of flickering in and out of existence. There's a low chance of that happening with AC shenanigans and a high charisma saving throw bonus, but the pay-off could be worth it for the sorcerer king unless sebas-chan can find his way back.

I was eating dinner while watching this live and I almost did a spit take when Monty said "He will inevitably bombard you with the Meteor Swarm spell, you will need to be able to survive more than 1 casting of that spell. Should you survive, he will likely try to use Power Word Kill to destroy you!" Good grief Drakkenforce has their work cut out for them fighting someone who can cast more at least two 9th level spells

I absolutely love the galaxy wide plague that is delirium. Not only is it a terrifying prospect for the characters to face, but it's the perfect reason for custom homebrew worlds run by other people to have and use content from the drakkenheim books while still fitting perfectly within the lore of this campaign. They could even have a moment like our heroes did and see this world and it's heroes trying to do the very thing they are.

Super excited for Monty to take the gloves off. Also, a question occurred to me for the players to ask OMN: Why haven't the directorate killed Solus/Solace/Soulis already? Perhaps to hold onto knowledge that they don't already have access to, or perhaps because they're already too powerful? Loving the show as always!

I love these campaigns! The new Kickstarter will probably be really awesome too! Getting that much art commission is quite the task. I don't think using the word ethical was the right choice though. Seeing as myself and some people I know use ai art for fun. But absolutely you should support artists and illustrators that you know and I think that's what they meant.
@djdak857
@djdak857 6 ай бұрын
I think there is a difference between using AI art for your own, private games or projects compared to it being used in a published book.
@Blindy_Sama
@Blindy_Sama 6 ай бұрын
I don't totally disagree seeing as ai art even though it's an amazing tool is a double-edged sword. In a way that you are making the art yourself by the same time it is based on other art that is already pre-existing generally speaking. But I don't like it when people throw around the terms ethical or not ethical when it comes to something that is technically neutral. It's only unethical if you're making it unethical. I am most definitely in support of people who are actual illustrators and artists especially for something like this that's going to be published on a major scale. On the other hand I could see someone who could not afford to pay an illustrator doing the best they can using a i r for their illustrations illustrations but they would have to be very careful. On another note a i r is great for people like me who cannot see the John physical media anymore. Eating drawing on a digital pad will probably be a very difficult for myself. For one even though I took like 4 years of art in high school I could never really quite draw the way I wanted to and more importantly AI art makes making art available for people that are low vision in that are considered blind... So it's also a great tool for accessibility. Believe me the AI art that I have done if I could draw it buy hand or could afford to commission someone to do it I would. For some people though that's not going to be the case. Either way I might have to look at a digital copy of this Kickstarter when it's finally done so I can look at the art. LOL I can't see the physical books.
