Hi Aju, I’m really hoping you can help. I have a Barista Express that isn’t working. After a descale process water wouldn’t go to the wand or hot water, it would come out of the group head. I took apart the solenoid and descaled, the spring inside was stuck and I thought this fixed the issue. However it seemed the pump was faulty as it didn’t sound right at all. I also replaced this again thinking I solved the issue. Water now comes through but there is no pressure at all. I followed your pressure test with the rubber disc but still no pressure. I have tried adding a video but it keeps deleting my comment. Any tips of what I can do or check please?

Hi Aju, I have a Breville BES820XL machine with the Pressure Guage not working. I don't k own how to open the Front panel and access the Guage to check unless you can advice any other fix. Tha nks

Hey thank you for that! Where « shop » do you procure the parts? It seems that I have the same problem but it is very hard to find parts in Quebec Canada and so many different parts on amazon

Mine started making these noises after only 18 months of use, with an average of 2-3 shots a day. I descaled and cleaned the machine several times and the problem went away. It's been a few months now and I descale and clean once a month even if the lights aren't blinking. So far so good.

I hear you. Mine started bypassing water through the group head during steaming! I descale once a month now. Only ever 1-2 shots daily. Machine already returned in warranty for the group head retainer screws issue…( repeatedly blowing steam seals!)✌️

Then you're lucky that it's been running on your machine for 5 years without a problem! I've had the Electro Magnetic Valve replaced at the shop 3 times now, and it looks like I'll have to go back in again! And I clean the machine 2x a month on the mechanic's recommendation, but still the problem comes back!

What kind of water do you use? Well, filter, chlorine? Do you have a water filter in your water tank?

Yes I change the filter in the water container every month and clean the machine twice a month. But the truth is that I use normal tap water!
