I agree with limiting the heat! I haven’t straightened my hair in years and when I do use heat to blow dry it’s at least a month if not more in between those times. The macadamia deep repair mask was my go to years ago and definitely helped me with my curls.

After 18 years being natural off and on I finally understand my hair....how much moisture, protein and how to use heat in a non damaging way.

Omg that macadamia mask is my holy grail. Sleek results when I straighten and bouncy curls when I’m natural. Use it with a heating cap and my hair is like butter! 🙌🏾

My hair is protein sensitive. I had to big chop it off it was so brittle and dry. I didn't know that it was the protein that was causing the problem. I use moisture masks once a week. I use light protein rarely. I'm too scared to go down that road again. I've use TGIF, Curlsmith, Olaplex, Shea Moisture, and Briogio. My high porosity, dense, long, 2, 3 & 4 hair loves them. Olaplex does a great job of protecting my hair from heat damage from the inside out. I had three back to back blow outs and to my surprise I didn't have heat damage. I'm lazy sometimes so I will apply it in the shower for 10 minutes. It works for me. Good luck on your natural hair journey, ladies.

I am so glad I came across this video. Because my teen daughter is on another hair journey 😅 She cant decide if she wants to be a straight hair natural or curly natural or both. Both textures are fighting for their position Chile 😂 Currently she has heat damage because her hair can't tolerate heat if that makes sense. She has the type of hair that as soon as you apply heat it get heat damaged and doesn't revert. It's with A curls or B straight hair. Trust I've tried a variety of techniques, shampoos, deep conditioners, heat protectants, blower dryers, flat iron temps, leave ins curl creams, gels etc. So I am all in on the repair process because she does not want to do another big chop and I love a good hair growth journey ❤️ I want her to be able to do both and see her hair flourish. Thanks for the product recommendation.

I agree it seems like when you moisturize your hair too much with a good mask, it makes the hair too soft that it becomes weak. I have to stop using my mask for a little bit for a good two weeks.

I only roller set and root press my lengths until fall/winter once a month and air dry in 2 long wavy braids in summer plus that Shea moisture manuka honey conditioner/mask, Crece pelo, and Garnier honey treaures is everything!!! Heat protectant, aloe vera juice or gel, kid's organics detangling lotion, Giovanni clarifying shampoo and products for my low porosity hair along with steam is key. Looking beautiful K😍🥰.

Hey Glam Twinz! Have you tried the Loreal Steam Pod? My hair is curly, almost as curly as yours, and the steam Pod gets my hair STRAIGHT and it gets HYDRATED from the steam. It's a total game changer for me! No more traditional flat irons! Ulta and Sephora both sell it.

I'm sure yall probably have a vid for this question but idk how to sift to find it. I want to wear my curls more but my hair stay dry, I've tried most methods still struggling & tbh, the no sulfates & silicone products caused my hair to now do that webbing & tangling even right after detangling. So I'm having many knots & tangles. How can I avoid that so I can maintain length while doing faily curls?

Be careful with doing overnight protein masks if you don’t know your hair/hair needs. For instance, my hair is protein sensitive and too much protein, like noted in the video, will make my hair hairs and brittle. #MoreHair
