Didnt play Knight but im playing it now...... The game was boring-ish.... then boom....... The Joker appears. Not gonna lie the scene before Scarecrows extraction was perfectly displayed. Batman also doesnt fear anything. If most, he fears himself because he has the same power to kill just like anyone else. Batman is scared to kill ANYONE. Joker isnt scared to DIE. Imagine a psycho-sucidal person and an untapped cold blooded killer with questionable morality locked in a room with each other. Some one is going to die..... because death surrounds us all. Joker has to literally be the worst of the Batman rogue gallery. He literally HAS GAG DEVICES LIKE BATMAN. He's mocking him but the same time proving him right because he is THE TRUTH. Believe it or not... we love Joker as a character because he tells the truth. Clowns other villains but somehow they work with him despite the unpredictable nature of his character. He's basically a necessary cog if you gotta distract the Bat other than that.... theres no respect for the Clown Prince of Crime. AND EVEN CRAZIER..... He somehow has what Batman wants..... the FEAR of the Gotham. Civilains, henchman, and supervillain all have this weird imbalance for the Joker, a mix of fear, hatred, a mix of respect, over and underestimation they have of him that makes him has the upperhand. While villains plot there schemes for riches and world domination... so they hold onto a plan and a scheme. Joker on the otherhand.... just wants to understand you and doesnt have a plan. He has an idea and tests it out Thats it.... if it doesnt work oh well he jus dies..... Until he remembers he has a deathwish that no one can satisfy but the Bat and thats when his unpredictablty comes into play. He'll rather die to someone who understands him then some greedy person. Nd he'll kill you when you least expect it cause hes always smiling. Guard never down nd even if he fails he still wins because death has always been the plan. If the whole world had this plan where would we all be.... how we survive and progress..... we need people like the Bat but we also need ppl like Joker to set the example. Both sides fighting on a very very thin line. Whoever you align yourself with will who you be... know who you are... You'll only look like a clown in the end when you lose yourself. Batman separates himself from the people he fights by showing compassion There's a reason why Marvel only used One note, 2-dimensional villains for Punisher, it's so people don't grow attached to the people Frank kills, and it's also so Punisher doesn't kill any of Marvel's most famous villains.

What most people don't realize is that, deep down, Batman is a man broken by senseless tragedy. You can't expect an 8-year old child to walk away unscathed from watching his parents die violently. I've heard a theory that Batman is completely unable to tell good from evil from his insanity, so he designed a few strict rules to always be followed. "I'm not telling YOU to kill others. Just him." His whole goal is to convince one man to break his morals and commit murder. Jason Todd could have killed Joker if he wanted to, which he does. But he wants Batman to do it. In his eyes, if Batman were to throw aside his morals and end Joker that would patch things up between them. The issue is Batman has seen what Jason has become. Jason is about as chaotic as everyone else at this point. Part of the reason I loveee Jason Todd as Red Hood is because he's chaotic like that. But Batman is different and doesn't want to become that. In a way, Jason Todd is living proof that Batman has a good reason not to kill Joker. Jason Todd is a villian as Red Hood. He isn't a good guy anymore. And I suspect part of the reason he wants batman to break his vows is to sort of come to terms with how messed up in the head Jason has become. It's hard to cope with rising insanity, but maybe if Batman broke his morals it would help Jason justify his own guilt deep down as to what he became. So long as Batman walks a different path to Jason, Jason will always feel conflicted. Jason will never be able to completely say he is in the right, given the most remarkable role model in his life firmly disagrees with the path he walks. This really is about Jason deep down. He needs to justify his actions because when you kill people, regardless of who they are, you wear the burden on your shoulders. His is a heavy burden.

"Why doesn't Batman just kill the Joker?" Batman: Hush does a very good job of explaining this question. He is given the option of either dooming himself by trying to save an enemy, or surviving by leaving the one trying to kill him to his fate. In the end, he chooses the former, and until his enemy is killed by a third party, Batman is committed to dying, trying to save even the man that has tortured his family, friends, and his romantic interests. Batman is broken. He is not some bastion of incorruptibility and morals, but a mentally destroyed individual that has been teetering on the edge of insanity since his parents were murdered in front of him. Batman is legitimately crazy, but focuses it into a constructive pursuit, even to his own detriment. That is why he cannot kill. He's balancing on a knife's edge and his entire life is the tipping point; to his own death or his own insanity. Basically, he needs to fight for this cause he made for himself. It gives him that focus he needs to walk that knife's edge. Anything less leads to literal madness, same or worse, as the Joker. At least until he gets rebooted.

I often hear people say "why doesn't Batman kill the Joker?", and while i do see their point, think of it like this: Batman isn't the most stable individual. Watching your parents get murdered right in front of you at the age of 8 will do that to a person. His mind is basically doing a Philippe Petit style balancing act: even the slightest tip, such as killing someone, will make him snap and go insane... and he knows it. Thats why he set that rule for himself. He CANNOT kill someone, even a monster like the Joker, otherwise he WILL go insane, and more than likely become something even worse than Joker.

So, having seen "Death in the Family" (the interactive DC Showcase movie that takes this movie and allows the watcher to choose how Jason's story plays out), it turns out that Jason wasn't kidding about what would have happened had his and Bruce's situation was reversed (in that Bruce died saving Jason): he does exactly as he says, and pursues and (possibly) kills Joker. I’ve always respected Batman’s code since 2004. That’s what I love about him. His full character of this code is further stated in the Injustice series. There was one thing that I found unacceptable. He refuses to kill people with his bare hands, that I respect. The Joker was finally going to die for his crimes and was sentenced to lethal injection as a death penalty. Batman took measures to stop them from injecting Joker and just let him be locked up instead. The Joker’s evil would finally stop and at least the death of the Joker was done by the law and not by Batman’s hands. I always side on Batman’s don’t kill rule for years but the lethal injection part was just unacceptable. In my opinion, if Batman wants to stop the Joker for good, it can be done without killing him. Perform surgery t o the Joker's spinal cord to prevent him from walking and moving his arms; he wouldn't go anyway. But the joker's most dangerous weapon is his mind since he is able to mentally control the sane and insane alike.

I remember that comic. The one with postage stamps being laced with Joker venom? I liked that story because Batman's pursuit of the truth is one of his greatest traits. But yeah, Joker should have been executed for the public's safety, though you shouldn't kill villains so you can keep stories coming. Looking at you MCU.....😣

1:57 “No! God almighty…no…it’d be *too damned easy…!* “ That, *that* right there is why Batman is Batman, why Superman is Superman, why Spider-Man is Spider-Man etc. they know that darkness is lurking inside. They know that if for just one second they took off the restraints and just *went for it,* their problems would be permanently solved, yes, but then they’d become just like everyone else. Superheroes are meant to inspire. To be larger than life and to be the peak moral epicenter *despite* having to deal with the filthiest kind of human scum that our race has to offer. To say “even when you want nothing more than to stoop to their level you *have* to be better.”

Doesn't matter people nowadays want edgy and I've noticed that batman is the only one attacked for his no killing rule. Spiderman and Superman are praised for it. I honestly don't get that. These heroes understand it's not their place to kill.

If you look at Injustice: Gods Among Us, Superman literally kills Joker for tricking him into killing both Lois and Jon (which thinking about it, it would have been Jon Clark) which caused him to go insane and instate the "Injustice" regime.
@sarahjamesinasarah64232 жыл бұрын
@big men Batman’s entire thing is not killing, the Avengers are usually non lethal except when pushed to their absolute limits, Punisher is an *anti-hero* Venom is mostly a villain but also an anti-hero, Spawn is a literal demon, Invincible hasn’t killed anyone on purpose yet (at least in the show, I’m not familiar with the comics), one of the biggest parts of The Boys is the fact that Billy Butcher is an unstable hypocrite who should not be in charge of who lives and dies, Ben Affleck’s Batman killing was one of the parts of the DCEU *everyone* hated and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man deciding to kill was played for complete horror and his rage drove him to almost break one of his biggest rules, and everyone around him was scared of and for him, my dude, what even?

The hard part is realizing Batman is wrong. like Damian said, "You're fine with traumatic head injuries but killing is too far?" Todd only makes good points, but he has to come to terms with the fact that Batman is just as insane as the Joker, and reason won't work with his moral code.
@DoctorWhoKage2 жыл бұрын
Bats recognizes that he's insane. I mean, he *did* see his Parents murdered at the age of eight by a nameless thug who has never been caught since the Wayne murders happened. Seeing that shit would make *anyone* go insane. That's why he won't kill or even kill someone like The Joker because if he does that, he literally becomes something as bad as The Joker...or worse. His insanity would *never* allow him to *stop* killing. Even *after* The Joker is dead. Remember The Batman Who Laughs? The Batman Who Laughs is an alternate universe version of Batman who killed The Joker (not before being literally gassed up by The Joker) and didn't stop there. He then killed the entire Justice League and every other villain in Gotham and so on and so on. The Batman Who Laughs has literally dominated his universe's version of Earth.

The thing people don't realize with Batman is that even if he acts like a semi sane person, the man is mental. And a quote from a fan film of batman, "Dying is Easy" conveys the idea perfectly. "I am afraid. I'm afraid I'll like the taste of it. And then I'll kill everyone in this asylum." Batman knows completely that if he kills Joker, he's going to enjoy it and he won't stop. There's even a universe where he did kill the Joker after he killed Jason, and he didn't even stop at him. He went so far that he started killing Justice League villains. Giving in to dark impulses is easy. Knowing when to hold back shows real strength

What makes it so funny to me is that in the comics of red hood. The outlaws where he’s with arsenal and kori/starfire. On the back story of Jason Todd they showed us that the joker planned out everything. From Jason Todd’s dad going to jail, his mom so called drug overdose, Jason running the streets trying to survive, him encountering the nurse after being beat to near death. To him meaning Batman then becoming another robin. Shit was crazy had me shocked as hell. Made me look at the joker waaay differently.

This. Batman's character has always been about how fine the line between the two is. But once you cross the line from justice to vengeance, you can't go back. If Batman killed Joker, he'd become everything Jason has. He'd no longer *be* Batman. He'd be no better than those he puts away.

Ultimately, Jason Todd knows the road he's on. This is just to drag Batman down to his own path so he won't feel so alone and detested by his former father figure. He knows it goes against his code, which is why he wants Batman to break his code, so Jason won't feel alone in breaking it. That's all it is, really. @Fanjanhong * it's not flawless. That's the human thing about him. The DC superheroes are usually the pinnacle of people. The idealistic heroes. Marvel are more grounded, flawed, and real. Batman is the pinnacle. He is totally human, not an alien or God with powers. No super speed, psi, or any of those abilities. He is the limit of human possiblity. And yet the most flawed of the DC cast.
