I'm not saying that that those other albums are not great but that was literally the first band that introduced me to metal It was digimortal by Fear Factory and war path by 6' under You can have your opinions that's fine but for me. Linchpin is pretty solid. So is acres of skin and memory imprints. Surprisingly some of the bonus tracks were better than some of the cuts that made the actual album. Over all it’s ok and I think they may have slightly caved to pressure to be more nu metal and marketable on the back of the success of Demanufacture and obsolete.

Hmm... I readed this in some interviews and this is what I remember. When Burton became friend of Dino again he stopped contact with Herrera and Christian, the guys at that time were ready to write new material, and waited long time for Burton to give them ideas, but he never was ready... (Some of that material went to Arkaea) We don't know what happenned there in another perspective cause Burton didn't explain it never, then in 2009 He and Dino restarted the history of FF again, without telling anything to the other 2 guys, so they assumed that were left behind, and that is what happenned. So, Christian and Raymond didn't wanted to left, maybe there was some internal problems but they didn't wanted to left the band Raymond didn't had more problems than the other guys with Dino in 2001, he was ready to accept apologies, to hear something from Burton if he wanted to bring back Dino. Christian had some problems with him, yes, like... Personal differences and problems (rap vs death metal thing). But actually the first who splitted the band was Burton, He wanted to left the band in 2001, he had a fight with Dino because of his "greed". Months later in 2002, He said "I don't want to work with you guys anymore, specially with you, Dino" The guys finally comeback after some time without the guitarrist, cause everyone agreed, I mean, they were thinking the problem was mainly Dino)
@midwintergates6 жыл бұрын
Amazing how off you guys are about what happened. I've been a fan for almost 17 years and Christian and Raymond dragged the band down into mud and pissed on it before they both got dragged the fuck out. I love those two more than anyone and Christian wrote some really, really good tunes on Archetype, no denying that! But you have to understand that Raymonds wife was managing the band HORRIBLY. At some point there was also rumours going on that the bands manager (Rays wife) got into a relationship with Christian or whatever that was. At that point, Burton couldn't take anymore and left the band. Burton I think started to take legal action against Christian and Raymond over the band name Fear Factory and at some point he was invited back in (when Ray and Christian had sorted their shit). Burtons demand was that the manager (Rays wife) left the band immediately which for some reason both Ray and Christian refused to agree with. Well, that is it. I think Burton settled the affair with Ray and Christian and basically reclaimed the band kicking both Ray and Christian out of it. Dino hopped back on after meeting up with Burton at some gig back in 2005. I think they're better off today as a band.

Same story, man. " hopefully one day Burton, Dino, Christian and Ray will bury the hatchet and bring a old school FF tour or album.." Highly doubt this would be. Yeah this is a strange vid. I mean they split up right after it. When you read band interviews from just after the split, they say that there already was a problem between Dino & Burton, and that they recorded their own parts separately on this record. And this could be right because even in this vid you don't see Burton & Dino in the same room...
@silentwars6669 жыл бұрын
As it was stated in the video there had been disagreements during the process which is probably why they broke up shortly after this. Sad really as this was always the best FF lineup in my opinion.
@Mobi6669 жыл бұрын
StickSh1ft Yep. I do like Digimortal very much, but to me I always find the song to be too short and maybe too engineered. Almost like each FF member came in, played a couple of riffs, and that's it. No wonder they say in the vid that 'it was the smoothest recording process' since Dino & Burton were never in the same room together. It's still too bad that they split up and even more strange that after the first reunion (without Dino) that they split up again and then Burton to reunite again with Dino minus the rest.

Burton: Before I go off on all the comments and everything, I'd like to make an official statement first. First of all, I just want to cut through a lot of the confusion about one issue since it really will be part of every answer. I have not made a public statement about it; I'm not one to air dirty laundry, but I have been forced to correct certain misstatements by Raymond and Christian. The fact that I have not worked with Raymond and Christian for the past three years as FEAR FACTORY is for this one reason - it's that I did not want to be involved with their manager. Her name is Christy Priske and she happens to be Christian's wife. During the "Transgression" mixing session, her and Raymond started a love affair that lasted for a couple years. As [she was the] manager of FEAR FACTORY, this was completely unacceptable to me.

Because Dino wanted to push them in a more Nu-Metal direction. Roadrunner was doing that with just about every band signed to them at the time because with bands like KoRn and Limp Bizkit being HUGE at the time, it was becoming a real trend. Burt didn't like this idea and got into a few fights with Dino about it. The guys a great guitarist, but apparently he's got a huge ego at times and has a "my way or the highway" attitude lol.
