This album set the standard for metal production. And even all these years later it still sounds amazing.
@atthecore45603 жыл бұрын
It did that, but it also set the standard for Industrial Metal going forward and also for the shape of Metal to come. Fear Factory are a core element for the development of the whole Djent scene after-all.

It was started on Demanufacture and, I think, perfected on Obsolete.
@atthecore45603 жыл бұрын
@@DrSlobGoblin I would agree in a way. I think their evolution from Soul Of A Machine up to Obsolete showed the standard of how polished and unpolished the stylism of the music could be. Not just in production, but in song structure and melody applications as well. They really knew how to keep a style without doing the same thing twice. I always appreciated that about them.

My FAVORITE song from one of my favorite bands. They didn't invent industrial metal, but they damn sure perfected it.

These guys are underrated, and I don't normally toss that term around too much, they were one of the first to blend harsh and clean vocals. I recommend Replica, Descent, Linchpin and Edgecrusher if you continue with them

I loved this album as a teenager in the early 00s. I used to play along to this on guitar for twelve hours a day until I got an RSI from not warming up or resting properly and now I have serious tendon issues in my wrists. I regret nothing (actually I do wish I'd been healthier about my approach to guitar but whatever)

Seen them live with Megadeth flotsam and jetsam and Korn just after this album aired it sounded just as tight as the studio recording
@benluna61583 жыл бұрын
@@septiplierisdead5315 saw them live in 94’ right before the release of this album, but they still played some of these songs live. Ya know? Before Burton started to suck at singing live.

saw them play this album in entirety in 2013 in Adelaide Australiajust prior to the 20th anniversary tours a couple years later Seen them 9 times all up since 95...Great band, sucks Burton will no longer be singing

Amazing band. True innovators in every sense of the word. Released not too long before this was an album called 'Burn My Eyes' by the band Machine Head. That was another album ahead of its time, especially in terms of production. Give that one a go some time.

Well it seems the comment I left this morning disappeared!!! Thanks youtube now I have to try and remember what i said 😝 First of all i love Fear Factory!!! They have such an amazing sound and I love the way their songs go from heavy to melodic and sounding so damn good doing it!!! The singer (Burton C Bell) has such a great voice and they have a killer drummer which I know you appreciate but anyway i thought this was a good song to start with 😎 Glad you enjoyed the song and thank you ❤️

Roxanne sure has some good taste in music! If you wanna hear some crazy double bass check out Meshuggah Bleed, there is actually a really good live version that the cameras focus exclusively on Tomas Haake, he is a one-man army of percussion

As a big fan I can't see how anyone could dislike them, but then again I'm a big fan 😅 Their later albums Mechanize and Genexus is full of hard hitting fantastic songs

Wait, you're a FF fan too, Roxanne? I am doing some recalibration right now. Because any woman can be a fan of Mike Patton...my ex-wife has always had a huge crush on him...but throw some FF into the equation & you move more solidly into my musical wheelhouse. If you all of a sudden pull out some Them Crooked Vultures or queens of the stone age I'll be having to reboot the system.

Hearing a fast metal riff can’t and doesn’t always mean slayer….Need to get ears checked on that…Dino plays seven and eight string guitars thus that unique sound that slayer doesn’t have….not even in the same group of music! This is “Industrial Metal/thrash” Dudes voice is so multifaceted….good switch ups
