Hard to believe this was just a regular season game. The intensity was off the charts.

I love that last play of Karl "Mailman" Malone vs. Michael "Air" Jordan at the end. The Top 2 scorers of the 1997-98 season and the Top 2 scorers of the 80's and 90's.

Jazz and Bulls was a great rivalry throughout the late 80's and 90's. So many classic games between these two teams.

People don’t remember that the Jazz were very close to beating the Bulls in 98. If MJ hadn’t taken over and scored the last 3 FG while stealing the ball the Bulls were staring at a game 7 on the road in the Finals something very hard to overcome.

Riiiiight. But those plays, my friend, are what make a TRUE champion!! Remember, if ifs and buts were candy and nuts…every day would be Christmas 🎄!

11:53 And THAT is why Randy Brown is a bench player! A starter would have easily pump-faked that. But Randy is always so eager, that he usually commits with his first shot attempts, which makes him easier to block.

Jazz and Bulls finished 4-4 for the 1997-1998 season. Utah was 2-0 against Chicago in regular season. The Bulls won the Finals 4-2 against the Jazz.

John Stockton and Karl Malone Utah Jazz teams one of the best teams ever! Champions Never Quit! They didn't win the championship but they are truly Champions. The greatest accomplishment is NOT in never falling but in getting back up after the fall.

MJ: "The Jazz swept us in the 97-98 regular season and that's when I took it personally."

That's pretty much my go-to counter argument to those stupid Rockets could-have-been nut-huggers regarding a final featuring the Bulls vs Rockets since they love bringing out those regular season records so much.
@coreyrowe4119 Жыл бұрын
@@blipblip same thing happened against the Knicks in 92-93, Bulls went 1-3 against the Knicks in the regular season that year but still beat them when it mattered in the playoffs.

It's funny how the Bulls never wore those jerseys in the post season

Ha. This is the game where Jordan praised Luc Longley for playing well in the 1st quarter. Then Luc never scored another point. And then jordan said he'll never give him another compliment in the midle of a game

One of the few games the bulls should not have lost... great rivalry
@cristiancandru8610 Жыл бұрын
It happened a few times in 98. They also lost to the Mavs while being up 20 with 5 minutes to go
@coreyrowe4119 Жыл бұрын
@@cristiancandru8610 it was uncharacteristic for the Bulls to blow leads of 20+ like they did in this one but Utah was pretty good themselves so this one was at least somewhat forgivable but the Dallas game you're talking about was definitely a wtf type of moment since the Bulls from the 2nd 3-peat rarely choked games against bad teams like that especially when having that big of a 4th quarter lead.

The moment he got injured... the game slipped away. This is not to take away from the Jazz but without Pippen it made it much easier for them.

If winning 12 championships ,6 regular season MVPs, all time points scored and who knows what else affects you having the highest regular season,playoff,and finals scoring average than yea mj not taking a chance and already had 7 scoring titles which feels like a individual championship. Jerry croase didn't get that. 30 was kinda young but played 1 year in his prime so he didn't leave in 93-94 to early but on mjs watch just in time to cash out all his casino chips. He wanted to save the next half for baseball how crazy is that if you Michael Jordan but I think they did the right thing in shutting down Major league baseball and forcing Jordan back into basketball cuz I didn't care how he felt!!!!! Loool
@keithnone6860 Жыл бұрын
This really was the last dance cuz Jordan and bulls was at end of road with no one left to beat. Had they stayed a couple more years like mj argued one time they would have played the Utah jazz in finals again in 1999 and 2000 and would have won them to. We was lucky to see Jordan come back in 98 cuz there was nothing left. He tied regular MVPs with Kareem and got 1 more championship than magic and that was about it. If Jordan ever missed out off something in his career it was beating Larry bird in the playoffs
@airgordo411 ай бұрын
Why would they play Utah again in 99 and 2000 when the Spurs and Lakers made the finals in those years? Lol

People kept saying mj coming back in 94 and 95 and I knew he was gone for good especially how the bulls broke down! I finally let the bulls go in late 95 season when they went three games under 500 and was out of the playoffs and Pippin threw the chair across half court! They had to shut down Major league baseball and had the mafia show up at Jordans door to get him to come back cuz he was gone he never was coming back they forced him back against his will!!!
@keithnone6860 Жыл бұрын
Jordan could have been the next darell strawberry in baseball and they said it's to late you air Jordan an Houston we gotta problem we have to shut down Major league baseball until you get out and go back to basketball now cuz Scottie Pippin's wants to leave and bulls not even making the playoffs
