I’m not sure if you did anything differently, but the blues and greens on your animals seemed much… idk, clearer? More saturated? More defined/definition? Brighter? idk what made the animals’ greens and blues stand out more this time, or if you changed the camera, the environment, the angle, the editing… it reminds me a bit of putting a UV lens on my camera when shooting outside, so maybe there’s a reduced shine/glare? Maybe I normally watch your videos during the day and the warmer night setting on my device is the source? Your close up shots, especially in the eating videos, are always great, but this video was exceptional!

Actually Phyllobates diverged earlier from all the other poison dart frogs and retained common frog characteristics such as teeth and larger mouths. The rest of dendrobatids are microphagous, with small mouths, small tongues and no teeth, so they can eat only small prey like ants. Now the question is difficult, probably I could be Tikui the tokay gecko. A lot of space, a lot of food, vocal ability and a peaceful family life.

@ghostybees63229 ай бұрын
Oh wow, both cresties are great eaters. Huh. I need to practically hold every insect directly in front of my Garg's face for her to lick it for 40 years before she MIGHT eat it. Although she was better in summer- possibly when it was warmer? ( She has a heat light, it just doesn't get the whole tank.)

Hi Dyyan! I'm also in Canada and I own a beautiful CB tokay juvenile named Maui (in honor of Tiki 😂). I got him super young and now he's around 6 months old. He adores his dusted crickets, however, I can't get him to eat anything else. He'll take some small silkworms from time to time, but he has to be really hungry and clearly doesn't enjoy them very much. I've also tried some wax worms, small discoid roaches and mealworms to entice him, but haven't had any success with those. From your experience, is it normal for babies/juveniles to be that picky? Would you have any suggestions of stuff I could try? Thank you! ☺
