That’s a great review; asking the right questions and giving informative answers. The belts for example and how your rig is built, including the seat. For example, I own that Simlab four point belt system and my shoulder height would be too high for the system to work properly. So that’s a good point I have to wrap my head around now. When I was all in for this product the last couple of weeks… I have to overthink some aspects again. Thanks for an amazing review. A sub goes goes NOW! 👋 edit: oh, I was already subbed. 😂🥳

How's the added weight on the slip angle kit springs?
@simracingden4 ай бұрын
Currently, I'm not using the springs on my main rig. I know it defeats the purpose, but the haptic transducers alone mounted directly to my rig are still really good, and there's not a lot of residual noise. So, I can't comment on extra weight. Still, I know the slip-angle kit comes with additional springs to support extra weight, so I imagine you would want to utilize those and make some adjustments as needed to accommodate the additional weight of the unit.
@Mr_Latte_UK4 ай бұрын
@@simracingden With respect, what you are currently experiencing in haptics is not close to the potential. Like you have discovered with the belt tensioner. Effects like the rumble strips, because you now feel them directly into the body. Not having to travel through the rig before they reach the seat. The same applies with tactile. We can extend multiple effects to different body zones in the seat. Also with advanced effects which utilise multilayering for greater varation and dynamic range. This is not possible with SL approach or BST1 hardware it uses. I have a path and solution, I have spent months working on with unique effects for you to try if you are interested.... It produces different detailing and felt sensations for Road Bumps / Road Vibrations etc as well as varying response in low and high speeds and working fully with all G-Forces too. Should be awesome when also combined with this product.

Is there a maximum G it can simulate? Like can it get tight enough for say 3G?
@simracingden4 ай бұрын
I have no way of measuring this but this is quote straight from Qubic System’s website: “QS-BT1, with its astonish 41 kg/90 lbs of sustained pulling force, allows to experience and feel differences between 1G, 2G, 3G or even 9G. Positive G, negative G or both…”
@myweirdtaste80904 ай бұрын
If your upper body center mass is around 40 kg and the two belts pull you back while e.g. braking with its combined max force of approx. 400N it represents a longitudinal G-force of approx 1G. So, not far from a real GT3 car negative acceleration under braking of 1,4-1,8G. Simulating an F1 car you might wanna go for 6 BT1s ;-)

How does this compare to the SimXperience G belt system. We need a shootout.
@exci61984 ай бұрын
The Qubic is quieter. While not noticeable with ANC headphones, the G-belt is annoyingly loud making R2D2 noises, sometimes even when the belt is barely active. Its PSU fan is also loud like the Qubic's, but you can remove it without any added heat. Qubic is stronger and, I'm sure, has more "resolution" being direct drive instead of stepper. I have the g-belt and you can feel the steps as the belt releases - it's not very smooth but in a race you'd likely not notice it. It can take you out of your immersion a bit. The only possible advantage of the g-belt (YMMV) is that it can be bolted on the seat, so that the belt is fed directly to it without taking a corner that adds a bit of friction. But with the strength of the qubic, I don't expect you'd notice the difference. Lastly, while SimXperience is still an active company, there hasn't been much coming out from them. The software is just receiving some support for new games but not really any new features. I'm curious what they're doing over there. Overall I wouldn't get the g-belt over the qubic nowadays. Very interested to see if Qubic is also developing a g-seat alternative.
