I was almost 3 years into the illness when I started my recovery journey that took another 14 months. Doubt was what I had to rewire the most. The first 3 or 4 month in recovery were the hardest and then you build confidence. Then you do not have to watch recovery stories because you build your own. I recovered with a brain retraining program. Neuro plasticity works

man last year i was at a step fr recovery and screwed up 😢 i was pretty much getting my life back and then , huge setback.Started to feel real bad g.i symptons, and others symptons came back, anxiety, heart palpitations, difficult breathing...i was so close😢 so my advice is go baby steps, dont put a timeline to your recovery, take as much time as you need, and dont punish yourself when the things dont go the way you wanted So my top recomendations are good diet (you know what works for you) good mindspace (hope and knowing that you gonna heal) rest and good lazyness

So good explained, the example with the train. Taking a shower one time per day and clear the dishes was by daily exercise for many months. After buying food in our local supermarket I was completely exhausted for days. 2 years later I am working full-time again, but really need the weekends to rest and don't work overtime

Gosh .. what a treasure trove of thought-filled gems. 💥 One of my favorites is ... seeing symptoms as "on the way - not in the way". ~ I'm tucking that useful gem into the executive part of my brain for when those inevitable boogeymen start jumping up and down on my nervous system.

Finding this particular video of yours was very timely. I'm struggling to get that freight train moving, and yesterday I was having a LOT of symptom anxiety. Now I feel less alone with my doubts and anxiety, and more motivated to live in the moment, focus on the exercises I do know, and look for every small win. Thanks again, Miguel!

Just what I needed to hear today! I’m having an off day, one that feels like I’m going backwards. I’m getting better at handling the off days, but I still find them a mind f**k - they always catch me off balance I find it a challenge to stay cool. It’s always good to hear that this up and down is part of the way up and out.

I do daily meditations by Dr Joe Dispenza where I am creating a clear intention with an elevated emotion...I am rewiring my brain thru mental rehearsal and I can now go right into wonderful gratitude feelings. Responding to symptoms with love and compassion helps too. You made some great points and they resonate with me. We have to put the work. Is very hard to hear this when we are at our worst but recovery is hard work. Is the hardest thing I ever did in my entire life. And is hard to be sick as well do we need to chose which kind of "hard" we want to deal with.

I was very doubtful during my 11 month Long Covid recovery, Im still in the recovery proccess, but since a few weeks I realist what is cousing my symptoms. Thats it is my hyper sensitive nervus system and that gives me confidence. I know now why Im suffering and since I know why, it gives me hope that I can recover one day. Its just needs time and patience and everything gonna be alright. Dont worry about your thing, couse every little thing gonna be alright........ R.I.P Bob Marley ;-)

After battling Fibromyalgia or whatever it is for more than 24 years, I am still struggling with flare ups and the other usual symptoms like brain fog, pain, deep rooted fatigue, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances and so on. I hate this with a passion. I have to pay the so called medical industry to be nice to me but nobody really cares. I had to take matters in my own hands to try and get to the bottom of all this nonsense but unfortunately not with much success.

@@cfsrecovery my real energy is when my body is not running on cortisol and adrenaline to do things. I am more relaxed but more tired too (maybe anxiety could be a big energy loss). I was wondering if this is the way i should feel when i am starting to feel my nervous system more balanced. Thank youu so much from Spain!!🇪🇦

Should we treat fatigue the same way as other symptoms? I have no problem handling physical symptoms correctly but when the fatigue hits and I have to rest for a few hours I worry I did something wrong. Also it’s harder to deal with because I have to wait and do nothing until it passes, no distraction from my thoughts…
