Agreed, I've never been in quite that situation but I'm unhoused and deeply networked into the street/poor community and ex-con community (which, in case any readers don't realize this, is separate -- not all poor/street people are criminals -- but there's a lot of social crossover too) ... And yeah, everyone's just human and has human needs. It's amazing what a little friendly acceptance can do for a person who's in a rough situation. Virtually nobody, except rare very mentally ill people, wakes up going "Ha-ha! I shall commit a frightening risky crime today and it shall be a delight to terrorize the innocent!". People do these things out of desperation. This video was really sweet and I love how Julie made such a creative exercise out of exploring the theme that we're all humans and basically have the same core needs.

It was Gecko Haircut Julie. Look, she didn't get into this B&E situation by making good choices.
This might have been my favorite sketch yet. That was so expertly done! I really forget I’m watching the SAME person. Damn that was good! Much more wholesome ending than last week 😂

This is by in far my most favourite video Julie has made. It's just so down to earth and honest.

@@julienolke Here's a minor challenge: Would love to see the different Julies do a thing, where they all interact together, like a music video or something 😁

This sketch shows why Julie is a great actress. I really thought they were two different people, neither of them who is Julie. Great job!!

I was genuinely more worried for the robber when I saw who lived there.

Lmao! This was funny and surprisingly sweet 🥰 I feel like this character is us in quarantine, doesn't care that she's getting robbed, just happy to talk to another human being!

Julie Nolke, this is my favorite of your sketches by far (though your other ones make me laugh a lot too)! I watched this, like, three times in a row, and I love it and I really hope that you make more chronicling these two and their relationship. I want to know how the friendship develops. Also, I would LOVE to see Ryan George as Toby. Oh, my God, if you did this, I would be so frickin’ happy. You’re awesome and I’m so glad you exist. You help make my days better. Okay, I gotta go watch this one more time. Cheers!

This is your best work yet Julie. Excellent acting, really funny, and wholesome at the same time. It gives me Calvin & Hobbes vibes.

This was so fantastic!! I love the progression of the "robber" from antagonist to potential friend... And the Lord of the Rings explaining each character is (embarrassingly) so me😬
