In the words of Nick Abbot: "There's a ton of money in this country, it's just that it's in the hands of a vanishingly few number of people." He also said, "Those same rich people keep banging on about people having a life on benefits, well who's getting the most benefits: fossil fuel companies get more in subsidies than they pay in taxes." By way of a reminder: over a year ago when our energy bills skyrocketed Shell Corporation **offered** to pay more tax - and our government either ignored them or refused. Meanwhile the government keeps on demonising ordinary people. But let's be very very clear: we did not cause the 2008 financial crisis, it was the criminal banks. We did not cause the economic crash in 2022, it was this government. Yet time and again we are being made to pay. And it is SCANDALOUS! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

From my point of view Farage embodies the worst of Britishness and his mission appears to be to set the cats amongst the pigeons just for the sake of it. I do hope those thinking of voting for his party give proper consideration to the effect it will have should it become the opposition. Brexit was a huge mistake. Apart from the harm It has done to our country it set friends, family and neighbours against each other and has become somewhat a taboo subject around the dinner table. Most of the laws people keep quoting as being forced upon us were already part of UK law. The sheer ignorance about this is staggering. As you demonstrated people are just making blanket statements about something they really don't know about. Farage is capitalising on this ignorance.

Moreover, I've always respected the opinions of the other side if debate in a civilised fashion. I can't abide people who denigrate people with different opinions as ignorant. What makes you think that you have more knowledge of the EU than others? Nigel Farage spent 25 years in Brussels and knows the members, the laws and the institution inside out. Therefore I prefer to listen to him than some judgmental keyboard warrior. I will be voting Reform and have given it "proper consideration" as you so condescendingly put it. I've even read the manifesto. I'd recommend you do, too, before mouthing off.
@daydreamer10986 ай бұрын
Yes Brexit was uninformed decision by the public. For immigration into any EU country which included the UK, by law you can make people sign up for residency, this means you have to register and have 3,months to find work after which you can be asked to leave. You are not eligible for benefits unless you have paid into the system for 2 years even then it is limited to a year benefit at a time. These are the rules, but the UK chose not to follow them, I have worked in Europe for the last 30 years so have applied in several countries for residency. It is much more ordered, you have papers and are legal.and more importantly a tax payer. People should know what Brexit meant. We gained nothing. Immigration into the UK has increased but from non Europeans since Brexit. I despair of the UK ignorance and the idea that Europe need them.. they don't.

I remember a time when a single income could support a family. Even a single income from a working class job. Paying people a decent wage for their work is another answer.
